It was so cool last year.

I agree 100% (SFM was a blast, last year...)
I just find it funny how people over here react if 'a' warhorse is NOT played...
"It goes to show: you never can tell! " (C. Berry)
P.S.: I think it was ommted just for the curfew, in Dublin. Just guessin' though.

I know I am walking on thin ice here, but Street Fighting Man I find bearable on the studio album and unbearable in any live version (yes, even Get Yer Ya Ya's). It's just too much I-IV bashing and the voice just doing the same notes as the guitar. It's almost grunge and certainly not groovy.
But I know nobody will agree with me on this.

I don't disagree...... it was one of the highlights of the Barca '17 show for me.
BUT you have other threads on here complaining there are too many warhorses . So they're allowed warhorses, but only if they are the right warhorses.

I like the warhorses. They are playing them well.
The problem is but that the songs are made 50% the song itself and 50% jamming at the end of the song.
For example Brown Sugar was 3.10 minutes in the '70 or even in '82 and nowdays it takes min. 5 minutes... and it is not because of tempo
Same for Miss you, Tumbling Dice, HTW, Gimmie Shelter.
But back to the original topic:
I hope Mick or Chuck read our request and they will play SFM beginning from the next show !

Brown Sugar was 4:16 at the marquee in 1971.
Miss You was 8:46 in 1978.
So, maybe they haven't really changed around as much as we thought they had?

in theory they could easily fit in a 30 song gig into 2 hours.
