One Hit To The Body..I had a friend who only listened to Heavy Metal who actually loved this song, and he hated everything else the Stones ever did.

I don't really know the definition of "heavy metal" but usually if I hear something called "heavy metal" I don't like it. And I love most of the Stones' songs, so I guess maybe I'm just not understanding the definition of "heavy metal."
I'm not a musician, just a listener. So this might be a boring post to the rest of you. But I love this topic....
But if "heavy" can refer to a combination of"emotional heaviness" and a distinct, what-I'd-call-heavy musical sound, I'd say
1) Ventilator Blues
2) Just Wanna See His Face.
3)I also agree that the last half of "Thru and Thru" seems "heavy"emotionally & musically.
Plus, the WAY Mick distinctly enunciates, performs, VB, really leaves an unmistakable "heavy" feeling in me! "Your'e woman's cussin', you can hear her scream, feels like murder in the first degree"........" Whatcha gonna do about it, whatcha gonna do?" That song does help me to "ventilate!
And JWSHF- well, you possibly find it stunning & moving, or... just the opposite.
===========================================================
After thinking about it, I'd like to add 2 more songs to my list"
4) Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
5) Gimme Shelter
Thanks for letting me "vent".

Not a song, but I'm listening to the Tokyo 90' show and there's a little solo played between 2000 light years and STFD that sounds metalish. Ha ha. I'm assuming its Ronnie.

That's Keith. He was on fire that night.

Someone once noted it was Clifford on keyboards

The "guitar" solo between those numbers is indeed Clifford on synth.

Some parts of "Their Satanic Majesties Request" sound like heavy metal to me.
For example, the reverb parts of "Citadel" and "2000 Light Years from Home." Did any metal bands cover these songs?
