The waiter in the background looks wary of getting punched.
Ronnie was a guest on Top Gear once, and I quite enjoyed his Celebrity Lap.
That and the incessant commercials for it are the only reason I'm aware of the show.

I'm surprised he doesn't try his hand at American TV. Fox News would scoop this bastard up in a hot minute.

Well, he is sacked now so I kind of feel sorry for the old bully. The show is never going to be the same again. I wonder if Captain Slow is going to replace him? I guess we will have to wait and see...

Or to paraphrase himself: And on that bombshell it's time to end...

I think him, the Hamster, and Captain Slow, are all heading to Sky.

James May seems quite an erudite chap; I've heard him on a Radio 3 programme called Private Passions on Sunday morning.

I simply don't understand why this guy is interesting at all. There must be thousands of grown up men with a big mouth that also talk about cars. Personally I can't tell the difference between a BMW and a Lada, but I have to admit that a Jaguar is a beauty.

Lord Hall, BBC director general, says: ""For me a line has been crossed. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations." Responding to the news, Prime Minister David Cameron said he believed that "if you do something wrong at work there can be consequences" and that "aggressive and abusive behaviour is not acceptable in the workplace". According to the BBC "North Yorkshire police have asked to see the BBC's internal report, saying it will be "assessed appropriately and action will be taken... where necessary".

I could not agree with you more Bjornulf. The guy is an oaf, an idiot, a child. Anyway, the BBC have fired him. GOOD - long overdue. Good riddance

I like the other two, though. I hope Clarkson hasn't taken their careers down with him.

Reading between the lines James May's comments yesterday, they are thinking of setting up camp at another TV station.

one thing he said was - of Clarkson, "he's a knob but I like working with him so some serious thinking has to happen about what happens next",.......

Intriguing to watch the BBC being forced to kill their Golden goose....a similar thing happened with their primo talk show host Jonathon Ross a few years ago but then they got in Graham Norton to fill the Friday night slot who is arguably a better watch...so.....
