I guess Commander didn't pay him enough for his guest appearances during the 2012-14 tours. Taylor is probably worried about his pension.

That's too bad if they're not going to give him a part of the profits. Bill too for that matter. But perhaps there's a better way for him to complain

Bill was once quoted as saying he only received about £32 UK state pension.
Not sure why, maybe he didn't pay enough contributions.
He will be ok though, careful with his money and a steady flow of royalties. AND, he has continued to work.

Mick T? Different matter altogether, it seems.

If I was him I might take a small amp and go and do some busking outside the gallery.....(If he feels that strongly about it....................that would get on the TV news and then he would be interviewed and could publicly state his grievences, real loud......(for 5 minutes anyway..........

So, the story isn't true then? It's all made up?

It is not Mick Taylor, and the discussion is in here: [www.iorr.org]

What's your point, that there is an impostor and the referenced post does not reflect MT's feelings? This seems highly doubtful, regardless of whether or not he has people that do his web stuff.

My point was there already is a thread for this.

But, like the rest of us, I don't know anything about this. How the Stones have handled this, the situation and the so-called outrage – it's just sad.

I dont think that MT has the money to have his posts written by "ghostwriters". He hasnt even a record contract and honestly I dont know how he´s making a living. He´s the most "down-and-out-ex-superstar" I can imagine, everything went wrong for him since he left the Stones. He´s been doing session work for obscure dutch or german blues-bands, imagine the desperate situation he must be in.

I've nothing against MT [and I'm not making judgements about how he may or may not have been treated by the band]

....but if he can't make a decent living out of who he is and his undoubted talent as a guitar player...then he's talking to the wrong advisors and needs a new agent ! .

Mick Taylor seems to be left with not much more than bitterness and envy from his time in the Stones spotlight.

Sad,sad sad.

The Stones were uncool about the opening and not inviting Taylor but his reaction is way over board. I can't believe his posts are still up. It's just an exhibition after all, blown out of proportion because Taylor is mad about everything. He should realize by now they are not his pals. Thank goodness there are still performance royalties and he had songwriter credit on albums like Exile, he is hitting bottom again it seems.

Now you see how low the payment is for a Stones-guitarist..

I do not know Mr Taylor personally. That said, he definetely needs some good management, imho. It's kinda sad that he didn't find a way to turn his popularity after 2012-14 tours into something good, aka getting some music out, writing a book or get a new contract or getting booked for some good shows of his own.

Another strange aspect for me is how he handles "everything online", aka social media etc. He does not act like a professional, which of course many artist are not capable of. So they have pro's handling it for them.

Don't get me wrong, seeing Taylor and the others play together in Hyde Park has been an absolute highlight for me and I was happy for Taylor...and expected it to be some sort of fresh start for him, which, seemingly, didn't happen, for whatever reason.

That will get him about $ 35 per year, I guess...

He might think about investing in one of Bill's metal detectors and hit the beaches...probably more money to be made than what the Stones have given him.
Making money while strolling along beaches...can't really complain about that.

According to Mick Taylor's Facebook page he is not getting the royalties he is owed for his time with the band.

According to Mick Taylor's Facebook page he is not getting the royalties he is owed for his time with the band. He apparently is not receiving his 20% share that was split among the 5 band members in the band at that time.

The posts are likely made by someone other than Mick, but someone who knows him that is not on a payroll. He does have a knack for picking people.
