Keith's twenty second intro of Paul was pretty good...

Keith was sweet, he seemed a little hesitant at first, but did a nice job with the intro. Caught a glimpse of him in the closing stage shot with all the guests.

Kanye was kinda cool...you won't be the only one, Aquamarine. My teen son also declared him awesome, or words to that effect. smiling smiley

Just not tonight. I also thought his voice was a tad on the weak side but I wouldn't say awful. Maybe he shouldn't have done that show last night and maybe that's one of the reasons The Rolling Stones don't do back to back shows anymore.

Thanks NL! Very sweet. Do you think that journalist really meant the performance was bombastic,
or does he simply not know what bombastic means? (Listening to the arrangement, it's hard to decide tongue sticking out smiley )

I know that " cheeseburger, cheeseburger" skit well.
They did also do (or anyway attempt) a skit with Keith in it,
and what I mean is that it would be sweet to see it finally.

Yes, that was the one where Laraine Newman said of Keith "Now I know what it's kike to work with a dead person".

LoFL - I am pretty sure she said "what it's like" :E

My pleasure withsssoul, pretty sure he had no clue what bombastic means. It sure felt meaningful to me...by the end of the tune he was ON it. I loved it. The band was stellar and the song was moving. I just wonder if he's still thinking of Linda when he sings it. cool smiley peace

The funniest time McCartney was on SNL was a skit with two actors. One as Paul and the other as Frank Sinatra. "Frank" called him Ringo and ridiculed the Beatles while "Paul" came off as a marijuana addled space cadet.

Actors were Phil Hartman and Dana Carvey I believe

Give Paul a break. He did a show the night prior and obviously had a cold!

I knew it had to be something, but just watched it a second time and liked it better then the first. Real tight band behind him and you got to love the drummer Abe Laboriel, always puts on his own show....

I liked Paul Simon's and Paul McCartney's I'VE JUST SEEN A FACE near the start, abbreviated though it was.

Bet it was a fun night out for Patti and Keith. Keith was probably glad for his little role, he could mostly relax and enjoy the show. Some great moments, but as usual, some of the skits went too long, like Jeopardy and Californians.

Yeah, way too long and all the commercials in the 2nd half of the show dragged it down. I thought the Jerry Seinfeld bit was good...

Was disappointed that no clip of the Stones performance appeared. If they can show Betty White making out, they can show Mick licking Ron s face!

I remember a "Cooking with Keith" skit from the late 80s that was pretty funny, which shows how long-lived the image of that Keith really was.

Link to video of full "Cooking with Keith" skit: [www.dailymotion.com]

That is so frigging funny
