At the Buddy Rich tribute...it's basically Charlie's kit with a few more cymbals.
They have the most consecutive gold records after the Beatles and Stones.
Too much work to get all of Neil Pert's drums shipped over the pond..

Thx for the vid. I thought they were prog-rockers but after watching it I defo think they're pompous-rockers.
And the long-haired lady in charge of vocal duties reminds me of a social worker I once knew.

These guys have been filling stadiums and arenas around the world for decades. 40 million records sold in 40 years.
You are going to love it. I was at the Buffalo show. The second set is especially awesome.

actually I did see Ruch twice in the '80's and did enjoy those shows, but if I want to see a band play in front of washing machines, I'll do it in my own garage.

Seeing as the NA tour ends in August, I hope there's Europe in the works for fall/winter!
U2 and Rush playing Montreal in the same week of June. Tempting, but probably impossible. =P

I've told this story before but I have a soft spot for Rush since the night of my 18th birthday when after stealing a 1950's maintenance truck and travelling over 100 miles to see them we were SOL because they were sold out. Dejected and disappointed we were about to leave when the band Golden Earing emerged from a backstage door and gave us their all access passes after hearing our impassioned pleas (sob story).
Beaming like the sun we walked in the gates, thru the crowd, backstage and parked ourselves on the side of the stage for the Rush show. Afterwards we partied with the band and hung out till dawn. They were amazingly kind to us, shared their schwag, food and party favors and we left feeling like rock stars. What a night.

Rush are in the Top 10 on my Must-Have-Seen-In_Concert artists.
I tried 3x to see them live, but it has never happened, unfortunatly. Hopefully, I get a 4th chance and this time it happen.
