I liked 1995's Monkey Man but they did it better in 2003. The VOODOO version was too fast and too drawn out. LICKS version was slower, heavier and better, especially the Madison Square Garden performance. It's a bit more fluid. And it doesn't have the long ending with Lisa to weaken it.
Lisa, on the other hand, looked fantastic in 1995.
SFM from the VOODOO tour was better than the STEEL WHEELS/URBAN JUNGLE but on the LICKS tour they destroyed it.

Haven't heard that show! The Paris version was excellent. Will try to pick up the Barca-show, thanks for the tip!

Were it not for Brussels having been released on vinyl (box set), then I would agree with you re El Mocambo.
While so many on your list are new to our thread, I can "hear" you on some (Factory Girl and Twenty Flight Rock are smokin hot!), but on others (Almost Hear You Sigh & Wild Horses), I cannot subscribe to the magazine. I'm Moving On also COOKS!

Nope, you're absolutely right. I've corrected my post. Listening to that tracks lead guitar break my brain just assumed it was Taylor, never heard Ronnie play quite like that or with that tone. Maybe it was Keith all along?
In which case I've never heard Keith really play that way either. Maybe someone with a better copy of it can shed some light.

It's Only R&R on Love You Live is by far their best version IMHO. Love it!
Inclined to agree with you there, however......
Sympathy and Its only rock n roll from Love you Live are equally as good IMHO.... At the moment......
On the other hand there's so many good 'uns to choose from, my opinion may/will be different next week!

YCAGWYW from Brussels is just the best for me from start to finish, but I still get goosebumps every time from "...and Keith Richards on guitar..." before Keith perfectly explodes into the opening riff of Bye Bye Johnny from '72. They keep up that pace and just destroy for 3+ minutes, with some perfect Keith vocals to top it off...it's got it all.
