Yesterday Dylan played one of the strangest setlist in recent years

1.My Babe (Little Walter)
2.Beyond Here Lies Nothin'
3.Simple Twist of Fate
4.Little Queenie (Chuck Berry)
5.Mr. Blue (DeWayne Blackwell)
6.Pay in Blood
7.Cold, Cold Heart (Hank Williams)
8.Early Roman Kings
9.Under the Red Sky
10.Things Have Changed
11.The Fool (Naomi Ford and Lee Hazlewood)
12.Scarlet Town
13.Long and Wasted Years

seems to me like he did some songs Willie Nelson (who was ill and could do his set) would have done…

It's a multi-artist show with all artists doing shorter sets.

Bob has toured with soooo many people over the decades. Has he ever toured with Robert Plant before? I found last night additionally fascinating for that combination. Plant & Krauss's setlist:

Bob, some suggestions after Outlaws concert in NJ:

Play a little closer to the front of stage.

Allow close up cameras for the big video screen instead of just one wide shot.

Attend the sound check.

About time for another Bob Dylan studio album? I’m ready. But please, not a “rehash” of Rough and Ready Ways. My least favourite of the post 1997 albums (except for that horrid Christmas album and his crooner Triplicate set!).

Just give me a strong set of original, new studio tracks please Bob.

Any rumours?

A new album would be very welcome (as always).
Anyone know if he spent time in a recording studio in the past two or three years?

I absolutely love Rough and Rowdy Ways, and the concert I saw at The Palladium, it's my favourite of his since Time Out of Mind, though Tempest is a good second.I can imagine him following that lean, minimal musical path somewhere new, with those associational lyrics strolling behind, or maybe he'll release an album of Dead covers (pass, thanks) or gospel songs (yess please) - both of which have been discussed as possibilities on Expecting Rain.
There's been around 50 pages of talk on a potential new album on there, but no hard facts at all....

I went to ‘the Outlaw’ festival last night in Mansfield MA. Terrific fun night. Plant and Ms. Krauss hit the stage at 6:30. Really good set.
I’ve seen Bob close to 30x over the years, and this was truly one of the better shows I’ve seen by him in many years. Rollicking barrel house piano, including a version of Little Queenie that got everyone’s Ya Ya’s out.
Sadly, no Willie but they say he will join the tour in Camden NY on the 4th tomorrow. Place will erupt - guaranteed. Mavis Staples also joining - will be a great one.

Yeah, great evening, and all four sets were really good. I thought Lukas was quite impressive.
Plant-Krauss were great, and Bob was sounding fantastic.

ChrisL - I must admit I left about 3 songs into the set by Lukas and Co. to beat the atrocious traffic that is Great Woods. They did sound terrific- but they ain’t Willie. :-)
Did they bring out any guest stars later?

No guests, but I must say, Lukas was impressive. You must have heard the medley of country hits at the beginning, but he did some of his own songs and of course a lot of Willie stuff. I thought the song attached below was really quite good ...

As far as the traffic, most of the people stayed. When it was over I was worried I'd be there for hours (ala usual Foxboro insanity), but we jumped in the car and zipped right out. We got out and on the highway much faster than it took us to got in, even in the free parking area.
