Seeing Bob Friday, low expectations with this minimalistic band and stage setting but hopefully he will surprise us in some way.

Why low expectations? Have you seen him within the last 2-3 years? He and the band are fantastic!

I've watched YouTube footage, highlights are Into The Mystic and Stella Blue, but i would prefer some more guitar action onstage to make up for Bob not playing guitar.

I understand that. The last 3 times I’ve seen him (all within the last 3 years; at the Ryman once and Brooklyn Bowl Nashville 2x) have all been at least 9/10. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Yes I'm looking forward to tomorrow, I'll let you know what i thought of the show over the weekend.
I'm just amazed to see Bob again, it's virtually on my doorstep and my Mum ( age 83 ) and i are huge fans so we just had to see him for possibly the last time.

Enjoy the concert with your Mum, Keefriffards, it will probably be very good. Of course Bob Dylan is not a strong man anymore, but the core of his art is glowing.

Thank you, it was very good, Bob was great vocally, he seemed particularly animated and into it last night, the band were perfect too.
He finished with Every Grain Of Sand ( highlight for me ) and I've never seen thousands of people jump to their feet with such rapturous applause, don't think anyone went home disappointed, incredible, beyond expectations.

Mixed emotions at the Liverpool gig, like me some people in tears at what I was hearing vocally from an 83 year old but also his harmonica playing and piano was as good as ever.

That wasn't enough for some so called fans that wanted to film with their phones and expected better lighting.

Saw Edinburgh first night. Guy Faulks Day and US presidential election combined. Some historical significance there — good or bad.

I had seen His Bobness in Japan 21 times 1978-2023 but never done abroad, which contributed another if personal significance to the show.

The Rough And Rowdy Way World Wide Tour 2021-2024 is now entering its last phase. Multi instrumentalist Donnie Herron gone, and drum legend Jim Keltner joining the force, Dylan’s combo delivered a different sound texture from what I had heard in Osaka and Nagoya last year, punchier and pushing. Desolation Row led by Keltner’s heavy-hitting and marching style of drumming garnered the biggest cheer of the night, the undoubted highlight.

I prefer 2023’s softer and jazzier approach if you ask me, but it is no more than a personal preference. Both are great in their own right.

The crowd that filled the elegant 2,200 seater was very focused and keen to listen throughout the evening, helped by the phone-free setting utilizing the Yondr pouch. It greatly enhanced the atmosphere of the show. And there were no chatterers, at least around me. I was reminded how a concert used to be before a camera phone entered our life.

The Liverpool Every Grain of Sand is gorgeous.
I loved the Palladium shows a couple of years back with Drayton et al, and I doubt I'll score a ticket to this tour, but the recordings sound great on the songs I really like(I could without ever hearing again the revamped Baby Tonight and the other minor songs from yesteryear) but R&RW seems to be the gift that keeps giving on stage, and suits his spoken word singing voice. What an artist!! What a final song!!!

Strange to some folks perhaps...but I never get the urge to go see Bob live.

..spend hours listening avidly to his records... but he's an artist who somehow speaks better to me in my own home.

Weird, but there you go.
