Looks like a Pats-Hawks Super Bowl, the one I've been hoping for all season long. Can't wait.

Trent Richardson is out for the Colts due to a family emergency. Puts more pressure on Andrew Luck to perform well today.

So the fact that he's hardly done anything means something? I find that ridiculous. Dude wasn't even going to play anyway.

Packers royally screwed up against a team that had its head up its ass. It's criminal that Seattle won.

New England should and hopefully will put Seattle in the backseat of NFL history by beating them in SB49.

Wilson with his babble about "god" helping them. When will those people shut up about that fiction?

The Beast played mighty awesome for someone with a bad back. 157 yards. Wow. Really the D won the game. GB only scored 1 TD & 5 field goals. Couple of more early TDs & it would've been different game. Wilson played maybe his worst game until it counted. I'm drained. I think the NE/Seattle game will be a good one. & that TD drive in OT was a thing of beauty. GO HAWKS!hot smiley

Packers certainly lost that game more that you can say Seattle took it to win. Too many dumb mistakes cost them starting with the first drive where from the 29 yard line Rodgers tried to get it in the end zone to Adams and Sherman intercepted. Adams didn't adjust well and only reached out instead of using his body to keep position. That cost them a possible 3 points.

Then the Packers intercept and return it to the 4 and get a stupid taunting penalty call that takes them back 15 yards to the 19. Ended up with only a field goal after 2 runs from the 1 yard line failed.

Get another turnover on the kickoff and again stall at the 1 yard line and settle for 3 points.

In 2nd quarter after another interception they were within field goal range at the 33 with 8 minutes and throw an interception on 1st down. That cost them a possible 3 points.

That was the half that the Packers played well but came awy with only a 16-0 lead.
I thought that when they should have gone for it they didn't like twice from the 1 and later pressed when they shouldn't have resulting in that 2nd interception.

Second half changed when the Packers make the huge mistake of not having anyone back in coverage when Seattle faked the field goal from the 19. Down 16 points you have to think they might try something like that and have a man or two playing back. Seahawks score an easy touchdown.

Things went back and forth with Packers adding a field goal for 19-7 lead. The play that bothered me the most was when Wilson intercepted for the Packers and basically took a knee when there was nobody even near him instead of trying to run it back. My god there was 5 minutes left in the game what was he thinking???. Packers play conservative and get -4 yards on 3 runs and give Seattle the ball back with 4 minutes left. Seattle took control and about a minute and a half later find the end zone.

Final mistake by the Packers on the onside kick when Bostick jumps up for the ball only to have it go through his hands and bounce off his head. Seattle recovers and 4 plays and about 33 seconds later Seattle scores on a 24 yard Lynch run. OK maybe 1 more mistake where the Packers can't knock down the cross field rainbow pass for the 2 point conversion that would have kept them in position to win with the field goal they scored later to tie it and go into overtime.

The Packer offence never got another chance with Seattle getting down field on two long passes in OT and scoring the winning touchdown.

In the end the Seahawks played good enough to win and the Packers mistakes and conservative play may have cost them a trip to the Superbowl.

i agree. the packesr coach should be fired for blowing it. seattle didn't win the game as much as green bay just sat back as if they were already the winners

Let's not go there and get this thread pulled because of religion. I'll take that over bable where they talk about how great they are instead of the team. That kills me.

Fox is even worse. Especially for the video. They have the lowest quality " HD " that I have ever seen. I think that it has something to do with compression. The jumping robot doesn't help the situation either.

GB is certainly snake bit in Seattle. If GB had beat Buffalo, game would've been on the frozen tundra. Made a difference. Also, the 12th Man certainly played a factor. WOO HOO!>grinning smiley<

The selfishness of those people saying that is beyond absurd. It really needs to be kept private.

I bet Wilson would've had a different statement if they'd lost. It's very convenient to say 'we kept believing' when you won by pure luck.

thumbs up Probably 26-14. That blindsided block call on the Packers after the interception looked like a full frontal assault to me.

Gotta love the Jimi Voodoo Child soundtrack used by Fox/NFL.

peace

man that was great to hear that.

I just wanted to say go Seahawks

a very entertaining game yesterday, I like the way they play. plus they were lucky- the onside kick especially..and getting the ball in the OT..

Wilson played his worst game & Hawks survived. I'm expecting a good game for the Super Bowl this year. Good thing there is a week break before the game. Both Richard Sherman & Earl Thomas are having MRIs. Both say they are going to play though.

The NFL has confirmed it is looking into charges the New England Patriots cheated Sunday night when they clinched a trip to the Super Bowl Sunday night by using deflated footballs.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed the probe Monday, following the AFC championship game, in which the Patriots demolished the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7. The charge was first made Sunday night, when an Indianapolis reporter that the NFL had seized at least one game ball from the AFC championship game to examine whether pigskins were intentionally deflated to make them easier to throw and catch.

“The NFL is investigating the possibility,” Bob Kravitz, of WTHR, tweeted, adding that, “at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it.”

“The NFL is investigating the possibility."

If the Patriots did cheat, it would not be the first time. The team was penalized a first-round draft pick, fined $250,000 and head coach Belichick was personally fined $500,000 after an investigation by the NFL determined the team had illegally videotaped their opponents hand signals during a 2007 game.

And unsubstantiated accusations of cheating have long dogged the team, stemming from their Super Bowl wins in 2002, 2004 and 2005. The St. Louis Rams claimed the team illegally videotaped their walk-through practices prior to the 2002 game, and players on the other defeated opponents have said the Patriots seemed to have inside knowledge of their playbooks.

The Patriots lost the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2012, both times to the New York Giants.

Deflating footballs would theoretically have made it easier for Brady, who completed 23 of 35 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns, to throw and for his receivers to catch in the bad weather of Sunday’s game in Foxboro. But it also should have benefited Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck, who had a miserable game, completing 12 of 33 passes for a mere 126 yards.

According to NFL rules, home teams are required to provide 36 balls for outdoor games and make the balls available for testing with a pressure gauge prior to the game.

The Patriots were also accused of flouting the rules in the game before Sunday’s contest, in which they beat the Baltimore Ravens using unorthodox formations that Ravens Coach John Harbaugh said were designed to confuse the officials and his defense.

However, the margin of victory and the fact that the Colts used the same game balls make it unlikely the cheating, if it occurred, had much of an impact on the game’s outcome. If the allegation is proven, the NFL could take away draft picks from the Partriots.

That's going to be real effective at determining if the ball was deflated. eye rolling smiley

The only thing deflated in that game was the Colts.
