Sorry US fans, in 2013 you saw a band that was just warming up. Otoh you had more Taylor added to the formula.

Who could really claim that this 2014 Start Me Up, rocks harder than this 2003 Start Me Up?

To me its more about was the concert fun!
Funny after EVERY Stones show I went to I went away
thinking that it was the VERY BEST concert I ever went to.
I am not a music teacher and don't care if they hit every note
or Jagger was off key. I just went for the experience. For the party.
To be entertained.
I was at the 78 Philly show which many think was one of their worst concerts.
Even though it was a short concert the Stones really rocked and I loved it.
And now that they are in their 70's...Wow many guys of their generation
are dead or in nursing homes..
They are giving it their all...So have fun and Party on!!
And if you are so busy looking for mistakes then it tells me you are
NEVER going to have a good time.

At times Mick's timing is a bit wierd, but it's still a great version!
YES! GREAT VERSION! A surprise - Chuck is wrong here. The intro is only two times, not three. Keith gets it right. Anyway - they rock!
Mick forgets where to start, and they're doing a round of the verse before he joins in, that's all

I've seen a lot of shows, and there's no way that they are better in 2014 than they were in 2003 or 2005-2006. I think that they are more consistent than they were post-Coconut Tree, which had a few shows where Keith just seemed to be struggling. I also think that they are slowing down - it's noticeable to me.
Regardless, the fact that it's even a real question is a testament to how great this band is, even at their age.

some of the stuff i'm hearing here is insane! have you humans actually listened to some great shows from Licks? dude listen to Roseland, Aragon, MSG (Sept '02), Cleveland, some of these shows are completely off the hook and blow away anything they are doing on this tour. Listen to Keith on some of these shows, he's unbelievable! some of you must be smoking crack.

When was the last time they played " Like A Rolling Stone"?
Licks Tour. Unsure of date.
Chicago, September 13, 2002, according to [www.timeisonourside.com] .
That was the FIRST time that it was performed on the 2002 / 2003 Licks Tour.
At the top of the page,it states :
" CITY & DATE 1st PERFORMED " .
They played it quite regularly on the Licks Tour, especially in 2003.
Examples : Boston , MADRID etc. .
They played it regularly before the Licks tour as well, so that info (when it was first performed on the Licks tour) is really strange
well, then stay at home. we (people that actually went) know what we witnessed. pathetic? is what that post is!Quote

Yeah man,I agree with You!This is abselute rubbish. These concerts only sell
because they are the "Rolling Stones".Pathetic.

I think the current gigs are slightly better overall - and at times clearly better- than 2003 and the reason has name: Ronnie Wood...
