Maybe less cameras than usual, a good thing at the show itself, imo.

Beautiful pics, thanks, C, from Twitter.

Keith's DIP joints are visibly better. I noticed that in an earlier picture as well. Hopefully it is translating into his playing.

Expected some more setlist changes, when BV talked about the "club show". Basically it's "only" Waiting on a Friend.

It looks, that Mick Jagger has lipstick on. I'm surprised! Normally, I see this only on women.

The worst show I've seen since their 2012 come back.
Maybe it was because my expectations were very high after the great pinkpop performance, I don't know.

It was a welcome return of Keiths avant garde hyde park intro of start me up though. Brought back some great memories.

That 00:10 close up on Sir Michael is almost too close for comfort.

How long was the duration of the performance by The Temperance Movement?

In Zürich, they performed only for about 25 minutes. I hope they will play longer in Vienna & Düsseldorf.

I'm asking myself the same question. A concert with Waiting on a Friend on the setlist can't be a bad show.

So Keith dodged the intro once again on SMU? Or ad-libbed it as someone prefered to say...

MY. GOD.

I'm still burning up here and am so tired, so I'll post MY highlights:

Hyde Park last year was my first time experiencing the Stones live, and almost one year on here I am having seen them again. I didn't expect them to better Hyde Park... but they did; the band truly is ON FIRE.

We were first row A1 Keith side.

- Was it a scarf me up? I couldn't really tell and funny how both shows I've attended could be scarf me up's grinning smiley

- Waiting on a Friend was a fantastic surprise.

- Out of Control was unbelievably great; the crowd absolutely loved it and Jagger could tell. I think it's here to stay for the rest of the tour and hopefully it might inspire Jagger to try a few more rarities.

- Mick messed up the band intros; Ronnie was waiting for Mick to shout his name, but he did Charlie first by mistake. Charlie remained at the back despite chants from the crowd. Then Keith came out during Ronnie's intro and started clapping. Mick and Keith looked at each other, shrugged and burst out laughing: a really funny moment grinning smiley

- Keith managed to do Can't Be Seen pretty well.

- Rambler was FANTASTIC and Taylor absolutely NAILED it, seemed to go on forever.

- In Hyde Park I was on Ronnie's side, I never realised being on Keith side was a whoooooole other monster. Jumpin Jack Flash nearly bursts eardrum. It was insanely loud, and in a really good way.

- Credit must be given to Ronnie. He is playing really well and his work on Gimme Shelter was a sight to behold.

- The band seem to be in much higher spirits than last year: Mick and Keith had some mean harmonica/guitar action going on Out of Control, Mick and Darryl dancing their asses off together side by side on Miss You, Taylor, Ronnie and Keith were all hugs - it was great to see.

Wow. That's all I can say, I haven't read what I've just wrote so I apologise of it sounds vague, cheesy, or if it's completely unintelligible. Or all of the above.

Thank you.

Please elaborate... If I were to go to ONE 2014 show I'd have chosen Wb.

I am the one guy here saying don't give up on Keith, he will come through this as a new great guitarist. His mind is sharp and he has a few hurdles to go with his inner demons. One night it will happen, suddenly, we'll all recognize it when it does.

Wanted to say thanks for a great report. If you write that well on all your posts I'll read you all day every day! smileys with beer

Wish I could have been there for the show. Thanks to all for posting so those of us who couldn't be there could at least feel a little closer.

Peace,

My third Scarf Me Up! Is this a new version of the song? Kind of a moment of genius in Keef's later years? Such as Michelangelo's non finito (unfinished). This the Italian in me.
Anyway really enjoyed the show in a magnificent venue.
The highlights for me where:c
Waiting for a friend: lovely just lovely
Out of Control: I have never been a fan of this song and their version at the 02 in 2012 was not my favorite part of the show. But this version was magnificent and Mick's performance was a masterclass in showmanship.
Rambler and I truly adore this song, so I might be biased, but man, this was a mean, lean, sexy and swaggering Rambler.
Jumping Jack Flash, a warhorse, but really liked the guitars, they sounded strong and loud.
Great guitar playing by Ronnie who has greatly improved in recent times.hot smiley

I'm sure in the light of day tomorrow, there will be glowing reviews of the setlist from most fans, which was great,in my opinion.
Obviously, their performance will be criticised + or - on a beautiful night, which looking at the surroundings and the venue, looked a dream place to play in for the band.

Gotta be a great gig,in my opinion, that I wished I had been there. >grinning smiley<
