I'm still there leading but...who knows?
Third Colombian goal in the aggregate hurt me and contrary the two goals of Ivory Coast in the second half help me to lead, so apart that I'm confident with my predictions for today, it's a long way till 13th July in Maracana stadium.

Whew! I jumped up to #3 with the two late games from saturday. Bang and Bang!

I thought England started out fine vs. Azzurri, but fell aprt in second half. Why does Rooney make all that dough? I have yet to see him play a decent game.
Ivory Coast beat Japan, but did not seem to be playing as a team; placing their bets on individual breaks. This changed w/ arrival of Drogba.
Uruguay just couldn't get it together;and that was a shameful foul at the very end of match. Red Card was needed.

I am not too disheartened by England's opening-gamed defeat to the Italians. We showed promise and, in my opinion, deserved the draw on performance, alone. I still believe we will qualify but have made it a little harder for ourselves.

All in all, really good football so far in this WC. It's a feast really. The greatest sports event in the world. Even though Sweden isn't part of it this time around...

I'm waiting patiently to watch the game Germany vs Portugal
2 very good teams , sure that one of them will reach the final. I see Germany win
For the moment, I was very impressed by the Netherlands and the way they slaughtered Spain.

yes that would be great
I was only 11 years old but I still remember the final in 1974 in Munich.
I was a huge fan of the Dutch team at that time.

1-0 USA after 30 seconds! Go USA! I hope USA does well in this WC. It would be great if USA scored some success and joined the football family for real.

USA won, 2-1. They were lucky though. They weren't the better team.

it's not that easy to beat Ghana so congrats to the US team

Hum, I had 2-2 on that one, too bad, down from 12th to 14th...

Very inefficient playing by Ghana overall though, they seemed uninterested...I wonder if there aren't some "internal" issues.

Ghana beat USA in the round of 16 in 2010 and group stage in 2006, 2 straight times. This was the 3rd straight World Cup the two met, so in those kinds of games, often you find a way to defeat the other team.

Mexico since 1990 about, has often played Brazil and Argentina well. The occasional 4-0 game might still happen but Mexico has also beat those 2. So today's match is very interesting and of course, worth keeping an eye on too from the officiating standpoint though I'm sure that part is fine. Mexico had a bit of a problem getting through the qualifications but has looked okay since.

Brazil should take this one today though the Samba Boys were not totally convincing in their game 1.
