After the strong indications yesterday morning that the band was in Oslo already and ready for rehearsals, I went to the arena twice during the day. At both visits I was the only one there.
First at 4 pm, there was hectic activity with 9 seaters going in and out all the time. The Backline personnel and sound techs arrived.
Returning at 2100, it was calmer, the cranes were all taken down, though the security was tighter and got really aggressive when I casually took a candid shoot through one of the gates into the arena. As I did not want to be intrusive, I left. Everybody seemed to be ready at this point.
Went back into town, met DPman, and sat down at this place where Jagger then paraded past with security and two others. It happened so fast I didn't get a good look at the others.
Then at 2200 the 9 seaters started moving in and out, and as the Facebook image of Bernhard arriving popped up on our devices, the Tesla-looking cars (don´t think they are Teslas) started darting back and forth.
At 2300, minutes after the twitter about rehearsals appeared, several of the cars darted away, presumably for the rumored late night rehearsal.
Don´t have info on that, if it did happen.

I don't know if I can express myself right or 'politically correct', but I think there is a special vibe in the Stones doings right at the moment. Is it that the band actually is bigger than life or music, and the unfortunate tragedies like we know that has happened make us realize that, but all of this, once again and probably for a rather long time, seems to work for the band. There is something extremely unique in their doings now, and the anticipation for the Oslo gig, and European Tour altogether, is really thick in the air. Or at least, I feel that way. I mean, it is always special that they do gigs, but I think we are so much used to that sort of thing to happen, and their performances, in the end, are not so special, but, how can I say, ordinary - even though much waited - things. But now, there is something extra-special in the air, something almost magical... That sort of old Stones mystery is back again...
But that said, I think Oslo is a spot on place to to start their coming this time. The 'cool, calm & collected' Scandinavians are perfect people for Jagger to cope with at the moment. Think of the gig happening in LA or London, and the amount of the tabloid scene and everything?

This time's rehearsals must be the best kept secret ever in Stonesland.
Not one single song title has leaked out?
Surprises me too.
Some songs will be noticed now I think since it's common knowledge where they are rehearsing in Oslo.
But nothing from London is the biggest surprise; obviously our reporters didn't know where to look for them...?
Aren´t there sound-proofed studios in London?
At least pics are possible of a door or a gate with security and fans waiting and cars bringing people and stuff...
Unless it was a band members basement/recording studio that they practiced in at their house...
