I went to see them with Axl Rose and it just did not work. So I was looking forward to seeing them back with Brian at Wembley recently. It hurts me to say it, but it was poor. Let's hope this is the last go-around.

Edinburgh! That’s handy for me. And the only UK date for this tour season.
I’m no more than a casual fan but I caught them live twice in Osaka, in 2001 (arena) and 2010 (dome, space half used. I ditched Bob Dylan’s fifth and final Osaka show on the tour for this), and throughly enjoyed both occasions, loved every minute of them. However…Quote

I completely lost interest in them when they hired Axl Rose for a helping hand.
And I read mixed reviews of their current post-Malcolm reincarnation with Brian rejoining the lineup. Still, are they worth giving a chance?

Funny. I guess you have to like Axl, but if you like Bon Scott era AC/DC, that was the tour to see I'd say. Axl sounded fantastic (I'm a fan and had low expectations because his singing with GNR pretty much sucks these days) and they really opened the catalogue which they never do. I love Brian but I did not think he sounded up to snuff that tour, even before they dropped him. In fact, when they did I really thought it was just cause he couldn't sing anymore and this was their (not super graceful) way of saying that. I saw videos from last year and he just really didn't sound good. I don't like to think that, cause seriously AC/DC sounded so good for so long. But maybe that's just the bar they set for themselves. I'm sure if you're at the shows its fine cause its essentially just nostalgia karaoke, and Angus is obviously still absolutely phenomenal, but I couldn't really get past a less than stellar Brian when he's also the only one other than Angus that's a classic member. Just feels like a tribute band that I'm paying exorbitant prices for.

I was highly suspect of Axl singing for AC/DC - then I heard a few songs on YouTube and thought, Holy crap, it's really good!
I can't think of one band other than U2 that hasn't had any changes in the line up. Aside from Adam missing a show and having his bass tech stand in and Larry missing the Vegas residency due to his surgery, with Bram van den Berg filling in (and did an excellent job), is there any band that hasn't changed?
Angus is the only original member of AC/DC left! Malcom was the only other original member for eons. Brian's been there since 1980 so at least there's that aspect of the essence of AC/DC.
Imagine the Stones without Ronnie. That would be strange. It's already strange enough without Charlie.
