stones are one of the best funk band in the world. Noone was listening to Prince when they were playing ht stuff hey negrita or fingerprint file. I prefer FINGERPRINT compare to all Prince discography.

Fingerpring file is a great song. It never really worked live for me, but the studio version is great. Some people complain that it's to long, but I just love it.
Another great example of the Stones playing Funk is Heartbreaker from Brussels Affairs - the funk jam at the end is just fabulous!

I've convinced a true Prince fan years ago by playing her "Hey Negrita" that Prince is just a crap of shit.....

Yes "on the breeze" Jugular is fantastic

you casn dance to their mid 70s stuff (b&b - Miss you and maybe IORR) but otherwise?

Dance pt.1, Send It To Me, Undercover Of The Night, Too Much Blood...and what about Back To Zero?

Also JAgger's solo stuff is very good for dancing: in Goddess In The Doorway there is a fantastic drummer (Ian Thomas)!

The 2 parts of "Dance" are pretty funktastic too.

I agree that the Stones, when they do something funky, are usually superb at it (although i'll make an exception for 'Jugular')

Midnight Rambler from Get Yer Ya-Ya's out is of course the ultimate no. 1. The old belt-smashing always is a hit.....But ok, not really "funktastic"....

Hot Stuff: I think I read some time ago somewhere that Hot Stuff ( and/or varioys mixes of the song ) still is very hot on most dance floors in the US. Wonder if that's true. Don't go to these places.....
