The Stones Always play is safe.
They pick whos hot at the time.
But they still overshadow thier opening bands.
Velvet would be great but Pearl Jam is safer
I knew Maroon 5 would open too (that was way predictable)

Fergie is hot, I would not mind to see the BEP also in Europe 2006.

Velvet Revolver is band with has-been members.
And you hear it... slash can still play... but listen to those songs... they're crap IMHO.

Black Eyed Peas released some nice singles from their previous album.

It doesn't have to be a rock act as a support act.

At Stones shows they are just background music.
I LOVE Sheryl Crow but i gave her maybe two looks the whole night.
It's just hard to hold attention when the Stones are coming on next.

hey - I even passed on PJ four times in Oakland '97. Buddy Guy's the one opener I've seen (2x) - but, even then I was antsy for him to "move over."

Black Eyed Peas are sort of like Fugees for the early new millenium. Not my kind of sound.

George Thorogood and J. Geils was the last great opener for me.

I listened to a couple of Maroon 5 tunes...one reminded me of Starsailor. Oh well...they'll make the Stones look even better.

I'm very spoiled......saw the real Van Halen (Roth) open for the Stones twice.

I rather like the BEPeas. Had some interesting songs last year. I can imagine enjoying them when waiting for the Stones.
