Just back to Boston after a LONG day traveling back home from Macau which was the final night of 9 amazing nights in China. I thought the show was very good - again add me to the list of set list whiners - I was really hoping for Silver Train' and GOMC was the one fan song I hoped I would not see again, but knew that's probably what they would do. That all said, JJF was a great opener. Then I thought they took awhile to really warm up. Rambler is of course always intense and may have been the turning point in the show. From then on they seemed to relax a bit, and were just enjoying playing to a small, but enthusiastic crowd. Best version of Gimme Shelter I've ever seen - just great - and by the time they got to Brown Sugar, the place was really rocking.
More thoughts and hopefully some pics after I 'better get some sleep tonight.'

Are we certain this show was sold out or almost full? Will these shows be close to the 4.5 million gross we need to maintain highest gross in industry?

I can't see how the Macau show was sold out. I tried to upgrade in the late afternoon and there were tickets available in the VIP seating...center of arena, at the tip of the tongue. However, they had not lowered the prices.
Minutes before showtime, rows and rows in that section were sparsely populated.
Once they started, the rows filled up quickly, but I suspect not by actual ticket holders...because I was one of them.
The sides looked full, even the upper level was pretty full, but there were empty parts of rows scattered around.

Singapore will be much much worse in terms of humidity. It is 80% every day pretty much with temps around 80-85F or 30C so get ready for more of that ugly humidity. I plan to take a cooler down to the waterfront area to watch the show from outside unless someone has a miracle ticket they need to pass on! Anyone that does fly in prepare for heat and humidity and exorbitant beer prices…not really ideal but hey

Some great, energetic performances here. Probably should reserve this for the complaints thread, but what the Hell:
WHAT IN GOD'S NAME is Keith wearing nowadays?- he looks like he's shown a Cheerleader 'the blade' & stolen her outfit!

I'm just guessing, but the benefit of a place like the Venetian is guests occuplying 3000 rooms, with thousands more on the casino floor. All they need to do is comp good customers.

"Welcome back, Mr. Stevens. I hope you enjoyed your helicopter ride from Hong Kong? Good. We have you in your usual suite. Incidentally, we have the Rolling Stones appearing at the Arena tonight, and Bob the concierge insisted that we set aside four tickets for you and your party. Enjoy your stay."

Someone said earlier that the building looked Vegasesque.....a bit like the MGM then?

The Macau Venetian is HUGE - picture Vegas on steroids if you can. We stayed at the Sheraton across the street, which they said is the largest Sheraton in the world. The Venetian bills itself as the largest indoor air conditioned building in the world, to give you some idea. Just to find the arena once inside took some doing - and a lot of walking.

Something else of interest to add (now that I'm somewhat awake back in Boston) was the merchandise at this show. After seeing pics of all the great stuff in Japan, Macau was a big let down. I got in early to grab some 'stuff' and the only Macau shirt I saw was one black one with a tongue that did say Macau with the date. Nothing on the back. And they probably had less than 10 shirts for sale, plus hats, programs and just a few other things. There were only two stands - cash only, and after I got mine, the line was quite long. Nothing outside the arena pre-show (although one guy said they had some shirts in teh gift shop, which I didn't find earlier - and believe me I looked). I DID see a few people with shirts that had the dates of the 14 shows on the back, but I THINK those were part of the VIP packages (exclusive merchandise?).

Truer words never spoken, although RH is no pushover either.

He'd have quietly slipped a shiv in dude's abdomen as and as dude screamed RH would say, now there, don't you feel better now?

watching these videos gives me the impression tat Charlie had an amazing night behind the kit. His hands moved like lightning. I saw fills in GS and IORR that were amazing... Charlie is the most improved during this last year, he started out good but rushed inside measures now he's laid back, smooth with tremendous tone and power.
