because if they play Twickenham they will HAVE to put seats on the pitch (which wasnt the case at the other stadium shows in 2003)

and that means that they can charge higher ticket prices for the 'privilege'

See? ;-)

U2 didn't have seats on the pitch at Twickenham this summer, did they?

I enjoyed Twickenham despite that many didn't do it. Perhaps they know Wembley is to big anyway. So rather making 2 events at Twickenham and some at the arena type places. If tickets are 150 pounds again I might miss out England this time, though I have a free bed down South.

I had no problems with twickers either and espeically the long island tea cocktails in the heathrow hilton afterwards in which they forgot to charge me.

The Dreaded Bon Jovi (sorry Gazza ,I hope you haven't just eaten !) are doing a series of stadium gigs in the UK next summer.

They will easliy embarrass The Stones with ticket sales. The reason.............................GENERAL ADMISSION £40. They deserve to sell out all of the gigs.

My wife is going as usual, but I've escaped this time.

Small show's means theatre shows, a small number of club shows (4 being tossed around at the moment) are planned for the UK (only, not Europe) next summer.

LOL, as much as I despise their music, its good to see a high profile and popular act keep their ticket prices to sensible levels....especially in venues where for most people all you can see is a video screen anyway

Credit where its due in this case

Yes, I'm very curious to know what the ticket prices will be next year in Europe.

I'd expect ticket prices to be reflective on what was charged on the Licks tour.

The small show's will be cheaper, however tickets will be like gold dust after all the celeb rent a crowd who'd go to the opening of an envelope have pillaged them.

Rumours are a bit pointless without foundation, dont you think? That must be about ten venues for theatre shows in the UK mentioned at some point in this thread in the last few weeks.

I'd seriously doubt there'd be two theatre shows in London - if so, it would be a bit shitty for London to get a pair while there are barely any in the rest of the country

Just Royal Albert Hall is fine by me (+ticket). Ok, it's maybe just a rumour without foundation. Nothing wrong with dreaming once in a while.

of course there isnt. But some of these 'rumours' seem a bit far-fetched to say the least

Damn it Rank outsider!! :-)

Royal Albert Hall will NOT be a venue for the Stones in 2006. That is a definate.

Do you think actress and former cover girl Rene Russo will be included on the shortlist of
celebrities who get special invitations from the Stones camp to attend the Royal Albert Hall gig next year?
For me, it's definitely a sure thing.

Printed in one of the free newspapers on friday a company is advertising stones at,

Paris 3/6/06

Amsterdam 23/7/06

Wembley stadium 19/08/06

Wembley arena 2/09/06

Re: UK gigs

thats interesting - is this a travel company or one of those ticketbroker sites?

Remember that "krystalboxoffice" ticket company were advertising not so long ago for Wembley Stadium on 17th and 18th June 2006 - which of course was pure (and pretty poor) guesswork on their part and isnt going to happen

The band appear to have booked a couple of shows at Twickenham in late August which flies in the face of a Wembley rumour for the same month (and if they're playing Wembley, why COULDNT they have done so in early June...grrrr)

That Paris date looks to be quite accurate going by what I've read elsewhere

Its a travel company, coach, ticket, hotel outfit.

Re: UK gigs

Confirms the rumours that the European leg of the tour will end in the UK in late summer.

Re: UK gigs
Posted by: Gazza ()
Date: October 24, 2005 13:06

well..it confirms that they should be PLAYING in the UK around that time - every Stones European tour since 1982 has ended up having several extra dates added (and/or rearranged) to the original schedule and tacked on to the end of the tour as the tour progressed.

So, its much to early to say with any degree of certainty that the tour will end in the UK around that time.

Re: UK gigs

Remember there is both a stadium/Arena and a small venue UK tour lined up for 2006.
