"I know people go on about thieving Brummies but I think it's the UK in general."

i've never heard that one before. i mean, thieving mancs or scousers yes, but not brummies. they're just regarding as thick ditto Yorkshire folks

I have a pass for one Wembley show, but have had to pay for 3 other shows.

Haven't you heard of the thieving Brummies? They are notorious for it.

The prices for England are the same as last time and did not increase. Though there are only stadium shows. In Germany the prices went up 30% which is a lot compare to the last show.
If you compare price with US I would say that Europe is now very close to US prices.
I know that 150 £ is a lot of money per ticket, but at least I know where I am. I will have FOS in different gigs, but actually I am a little bit reluctant as I won't see anything mostlikey.
Interesting wise I am checking ebay every now and then and it's getting less and less interesting tickets. So the market for A and Front is try no matter where you go in the UK.

wrong. Its deceptive pricing. You're only looking at the category 1 prices and ignoring how many are in that category.

A lower tier seat at wembley in 2006 costs £150
In 2003 for Twickenham it cost £80 (the pitch tickets were £150)
In 1999 for Wembley all tickets cost around £40

theyve pulled a similar stunt with what they've done on each US tour since 1999, namely increase the number of tickets in the highest price range

whilst they'll get rid of the pitch tickets at £150 Ok, where they're struggling is for the overpriced grandstand tickets. the cheap tickets are gone for almost every show but the crappier ones in category 1 are the ones that arent selling.

But if you look on ebay how easy they are sold even without any numbering or even without knowing where you sit I am still surprised.
I agree thatthey extend the 150 £ section. Poor Keith and Mick must earn at least a little bit more every time, so have mercy...

Intresting information about the UK club gigs next year, my girlfriends brother is part of the crew for next years European tour and his dates do not correspond with the announced tour so far, he is contracted to mid October.

Thriftlounge a.k.a :-1cdog/The Maverick:-

contracted till mid October?...that falls into line with the schedule. No one disputes there will be more gigs - post Cardiff. The last gig in the Euro Licks Tour was in Zurich, (in October).
Gigs in October don't have to be unaccessible club shows.

Tell us more about the pass Maverick.
Who gave it to you and what are the privileges?
And what about Manchester Apollo?
Should I stand in line outside this particular
venue already in case they announce a gig?
I want correct info this time, please and no
rumours you and your boyfriend made up.

Maverick -- I want more hard facts about the pass you got to Wembley.
Who'd you get it from etc.
What's the latest on Apollo, Astoria, Sheperds and Royal Albert Hall?
You've got to enlighten us all with your always accurate knowledge and inside info.

Bv just posted that there are not going to be any club gigs as far as he knows

I know eveyone here is mainly concerned with any impending club gigs, but i'm curious as to any recent or new information on any UK arena dates.

quite a few posts back, one message stated that the may well announce a few arena dates for possibly September.

Has there been any new info on this, or was it just pie in the sky talk?

Appreciate anything anyone has to say.

Doubt theres much concrete info on anything after Cardiff at the minute as they're still selling tickets for most of the UK shows

I would be surprised if theres much demand for many arena shows, especially at these prices and considering the fact that there are far more tickets (about 100,000) available already for the UK tour this time than there was in 2003.

Rank,

There is only one hard fact you need to get your head around, which is that 99 percent (if not 100 percent) of what the Maverick posts is absolute bollocks of the first order. I'd have though a sensible lad like you would have figured this out about .............. 25 pages back from this one.

By the way, have you heard about the Stones concert on the International Space Station in the year 2025 ? Yeah, it's true. It's part of a VIP package put together by a company called Inter Galactic Space Travel, a Virgin subsidiary. The show is part sponsored by British Oxygen. You can make reservations now at:

I think Maverick talked a lot of sense and he has been pretty acurate with his info so far.

I guess the club show's will be the clincher.

Maverick has said nothing that no one else didn't know.. the stone will play london at wembley.. we all knew that anyway.. he's also listed every other venue that they could have played.. except Don valley where they are

he's said they will play St Andrews, Villa Park and NEC but there are no shows in Birmingham at all.. he never mentioned a show in Cardiff either

also now that ABB is out why doesn't he put the torrent of the demos he has out on dimeadozen so we can all here the development of the tracks ?

Yes indeed, I was felt very lucky having it. Seems useless now. At least I get my money back.

For what my comments are worth:

I wanted Wembley tickets - for the locality and sentimentality too.

I soon realised it wasn't worth it after the 1st show being sold out and it would have been an up heavel for the family as it would have broke up the annual holiday.

Next best was Cardiff - I was always determined to get pitch seat this time and after Wembley at least Cardiff has got a roof and I've been ther before so I know the layout and more importantly the geography around the place - it's buzzing there - it will be Gas!

Anyway I was expecting to pay £150 however i got logged on and have a seat 8 rows in front of Ronnie and it cost £60 - the accomodation and travel will cost me more than that quoted on e-bay for a lesser place seat though - but I don't care - On With The Show!

Just thought you'd appreciate the feedback.

to be fair to the man, he NEVER said they'd play Sty Andrews! he may have said they'd use it as a camping ground for the crew but not a gig

he said Villa Park was a possibility as was the NIA/NEC. more to the point, the local Birmingham press reported that the band had booked the NIA!

u can't blame Maverick for that

i still think a few UK arena shows will happen

I am coming over to the UK for a week of Clapton shows at the RAH in May. Thinking about maybe heading back over to see the Stones in August. Any recommendations based on the current venues listed? Also anyone think there is any chance the Stones might do some shows at the RAH?

BTW I am not the Maverick LOL. Never met the individual, never corresponded with the individual.

Re: UK gigs

No chance of shows at the RAH

There isnt a 'window' in August for them anyway
