Coming Down Again and Slipping Away.

If enough random strangers on a forum independently agree, there might be some value to these suggestions, if our sample is extended to the general population.

It would be interesting to hear how would matured Keith deliver "Coming Down Again" these days. A pretty difficult song to handle in the context of a hectic show, but as a thought experiment sounds good to me.

No one. Cut that boring segment out. I'm sure Sir Michael will have time to change his shirt anyway.

He should do Thru And Thru and Coming Down Again, followed by Happy with Mick onstage for backing vocals and playing guitar with him...

Just a little mistake by Stonesfan2146 and of me forgetting Gimme Shelter at all. So here's my setlist with ONE Gimme Shelter.
By the way I think Get Off Of My Cloud was a weak opener in the USA last year.

Tellingly, only three out of the 23 songs mentioned here are under 35 years old.

I think people are getting prematurely optmistic based on these rehearsals. Several of the songs rehearsed wont be played at all and most of the deeper cuts that DO get played will be rotated - like last year - in a slot of about 3-4 songs. The positive being that one of those songs wont be wasted on a guest duet for the most part.

Of the 17-18 songs that Mick is likely to sing on each night, about 14 of them will probably be played every night and will consist of pretty much the same standards theyve performed now for the last few tours.

A lot of these places theyre playing are virgin territory. They're highly unlikely to take chances in places like Abu Dhabi or Macau.

AWESOME! I love it when everyone gets so optomistic about some new or rare stuff being brought out. I would not, however, expect these guys to deviate too much from the typical setlists. Similar to what Gazza said, and in addition to a few one-offs (6 Days on the Road and Under the Boardwalk come to mind), Jagger will likely sing 25 different songs this tour, 22 or so which will come from the following:

1. JJF
2. Satisfaction
3. Dice
4. Brown Sugar
5. Start Me Up
6. It's Only Rock and Roll
7. YCAGWYW
8. Gimme Shelter
9. Honky Tonk Women
10. Doom & Gloom
11. MIss You
12. Rambler
13. Paint It, Black
14. Street Fighting Man
15. Angie
16. Emotional Rescue
17. You Got Me Rocking
18. All Down the Line
19. Sympathy for the Devil
20. Dead Flowers
21. Wild Horses
22. Can't You Hear Me Knocking?
23. Imagination
24. Shattered
25. Worried About You

Sure, there will be guest surprises (Rock Me. Baby w/ AC/DC, I project), but they will stick to a formula that has worked for 40 years.

Lastly, do you really think that they will play a tour WITHOUT the mega-horses? While we might want the rare stuff, if one is paying the equivalent of $300USD to see them, one will expect to hear the warhorses.

The fun game is guessing which 3-5 songs will be "new" for the tour or will be rotated in spots 6 and 9.

Also, last thought - yes, PLEASE keep Keith to one song.........

Mine is that they would just play the setlist from the 1973 tour and call it good. OK, a few Some Girls era tracks allowed too.
