Heartstopper is the greatest Rock and ROLL song in this century
Please, just listen to those multi-leveled guitars ROLLING and let it grow....

This album is a smooth SMASH IN THE FACE

I love my ears

@#$%& thank you Mister Richards!

No it's not.

The problem is I can't remember which ones are better, but I would be glad if you help.

Love, love, love the album. If he doesn't tour, or doesn't sell well, I will still love the album.

Tour is unlikely, but the album seems headed for a top ten debut.

Finally my record arrived and it was worth the wait
OMG i am almost speechless, i thought it could not possibly live up to the hype, but it goes beyond any review i have read
I truly think its a masterpiece
Keith's entire life experience went into this album, there are no bad tracks on it as far as i am concerned
For the life of me i can't understand why Heartstopper was not released as the single, its just incredible from start to finish
This album will take a bit of time to fully understand how good it is
Its up there with Sticky Fingers Tattoo You and Exile
Why its taken Keith this long to get this good is a mystery
Talk about saving the best till last
I know you all must think i'm going over the top here, but in time this album is going to go down in history as furthering Keith's legacy to another level
Its better than Keith's other solo records and before Keith retires i hope he makes another album on the strength of this
Blues in the morning, Something For nothing, Lovers Plea, Suspicious they are all so well put together in sequence, the album flows beautifully

Arr man i just cant get enough of it smoking smiley

Is that on listening, or dispatch ? I still haven't had my copy yet.

I'm due to buy a Braun Series 9 shaver; amazon are doing it for £219, but Boots are for £329. It would be better to pay the extra £100, as amazon logistics are rubbish.

How can I obtain that bonus track in a non Best Buy country?

Via Ebay, or buy the Japanese version which has the same bonus track.

You're right, Baby Break it Down, big time. Sorry to the some of the folks on here but to say that Nothing on Me does not have the Demon chorus melody, well, you're just wanting to not hear it. "There's a Demon in me", "You ain't got nothing on me..." sounds exactly the same. Not saying there is anything wrong with sounding like yourself but, it's there to people who want to hear it. But, alas, like Paul Simon said "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest."

I would not say this is better than Talk is Cheap but I will say it's the best stones product since then.
Very genuine, excellent songwriting for the most part, great sound, great concept (roots genres).
Disappointed that he doesn't seem to be touring.

One year ago I would have never guessed in 100 years that a rolling stone would give such strong new original work. It has been a long dry spell.

Very very exciting!

Yeah its exciting alright
For me it tops Talk Is Cheap for the fact that this will appeal to a much wider audience
I don't think people including Keith himself realise just what he has done here
This is going to get a hell of a lot of critical acclaim.

Well it's better than his previous offerings that's for sure...a much better 'sound' and having only listened to it a couple of times there are some stand out songs. TO say it's a masterpiece is an exaggeration and the second time I played it my friend who is an average Stones/Keith fan said 'not bad'.

The one thing I don't like is Keith's singing on the rock type songs. His voice just doesn't cut it any more and is much more suited to slower melodies, but fair play to him for giving this a go, certainly not a disappointment.

So it's been said that Keith played all the bass parts on these songs.

Does anyone know - which songs did he not play bass?

It's true unfortunately, some of Keith's vocals aren't so good - almost sound a bit corny, like your dad singing. And sometimes there's too much "baby, baby..." An exception is "Trouble" which is well sung.

Some tracks really shine - like "Love Overdue" and "Robbed Blind". It's best when he really concentrates on giving a really heartfelt vocal.

Robbed blind is perfect
For his voice I love the track
I think amnesia works well too as far harder/faster songs

From the liner notes:
"Robbed Blind" - Paul Nowinski
"Illusion"- Pino Palladino

In my opinion this is Keith's magnum opus. Any of the songs on Crosseyed Heart would have contributed to a great Stones album. Only, instead of Jagger/Richards, it reads Richards/Jordan. Love, love, love the album. And it plays like an album, not a random song MP3 download. Maybe that's why, when it was first released as a single, Trouble didn't grab everyone's attention. I really like it within the context of the album though. The only track I'm lukewarm about is Substantial Damage. All in all though, best Stones album in a long time, IMO!

Yes, the Robbed Blind bass sounds like a double-bass almost, if I'm not mistaken

Seriously, you've been on this board for several months and you're going to throw out a line like that and not expect some wisecracking? I'm sure she is an awesome woman.

No, there's definitely a similarity with the title's melody line. It's just that the songs themselves are not carbon copies of each other.

I wouldn't even say it's as blatant as the Stones having similar-sounding tracks on an album in the past (Already Over Me/Always Suffering) or similar riffs (the trifecta of Soul Survivor/It Must Be Hell/Rock and a Hard Place.)

This falls more into the category of how Keith has always referred to his songs as being cousins of each other- some of which happen to be more distant or closer (Wicked As It Seems/Love Is Strong). When you consider how much this album plays like a compendium of Keith's musical style and influences, I'm surprised there aren't more examples of this kind of similarity on display.

Yeah I was going to say we all think she is perfect ...

That's great she enjoys Keith and the stones with you. My girlfriend does too, but only in the "you have to listen to some of my music next" kind of way...

I think this is a sensational album. Definitely Keith's best solo album and I am thinking that it may even be the best Stones or Solo stones album since Some Girls. The variety of musical styles, sounds and textures is fantastic, the guitar playing is great and I think this is best singing Keith has ever done.

Do you think that maybe the similarities in the songs are that they were written and sang by Keith Richards

Would you prefer it if Keith did a take with his voice sounding like Madonna and switch from guitar to a nice flute singing Nothing On Me just to make sure there are no similarities with Demon
