Wow, so not even the band-members themselves bought a copy! That´s sad sad sad.

Anyway, Goddess in the doorway sold worldwide 75 copies, although there´s rumour that Mick himself bought 45 of it. Keith´s album will sell very well, at his webshop it´s already out of stock. Crosseyed Heart without the slightest doubt will be very successful.

surely Keith would sell more than 350-500 albums? what?

He'll sell that many on this site alone.
And then you have Shidoobee and Rocks Off, so grand total sales will be apprx. 1000-1500. smiling smiley

Its hard to believe its that low. whats the incentive to even making a record. shit

It's rumored that superheavy only sold 3 copies!!!! That prompted mick's now famous edict that in the future his grandchildren are required to buy anything he releases. That's gonna boost sales.

Goddes in the Doorway:
"Mick rocked by poor sales
Mick Jagger's much-hyped new album sold just 954 copies nationwide during its first day on sale"

At the end the album went from 954 copies the first day to 12,500 by the end of week and debuted at #44 in the UK. GITD was a steady seller in the UK during the first two months and went on to move 78,000 copies, not bad at all after such a poor first day.

It can't be that hard to figure out. It's either at one of the early clubs they played or Edith Grove, no? I can only think of a couple other London locations that might be applicable to Keith's history...his art school perhaps or another school. Although the court house or Wormwood scrubs is also a possibility, lol.

Yes locate that goddamn plaque, which is to blame that Keith lost his teeth. But his new set of teeth is marvelous and plaque will do them no harm anymore.

The 78,000 number is from 2011 so it sold 2,000 copies in 3 years, about 13 copies x week!

Can anyone tell me what is the case with this:

Only @Best Buy. 1 bonus track: Love is overdue" with Lee "Scratch" Perry

What is "Best Buy"?
Ok, I found out myself: it's a website only for the US. So that's not great. That looks like the only way to get a bonus track, not even in Japan they get one this time.

Nothing can draw you into a serious adult conversation about anything Rolling Stones

Ahh, but that is always the way of the world, young riffhards.

It's sometimes easier to take refuge in statistics ('cause they never lie!) and humor than it is to have "a serious adult conversation."

I took a break from this website for a while because of a stupid remark by someone who had completely misinterpreted my post; I'm sure you've had similar experiences which have dissuaded you from participating.

The "fact" is that most of the discussion on this--or any--fan board are based on opinion, anecdote, passion, etc. There's no accounting for tastes. They can differ significantly from person to person.

You might think "Amnesia" is brilliant, a harbinger of a classic album to come. I might think it's a swampy groove that's cool but more of a sketch than a song, with Keith's trademark weak vocals and not a bridge or a chorus in sight. Doesn't mean one or the other of us is right; though one of our points of view may have more "followers" here than the other.

You might think that Keith is constantly deferring to Mick when it comes to what The Stones do, how they play, what they choose to record, etc. I might think that if that is true then Keith's a pussy for not being able to stand up to Mick. They guy who threatened an Angel at Altamont is afraid of Mick Jagger? Unlikely. But who knows which of us is right?

You might think that Keith is the more talented musician and the better songwriter between the two of them. I might respond that I honestly don't care which of them is "better;" I care more about the fact that neither one of them, together or apart, has written a decent song in decades. You could be totally right and I could be wrong. Who knows?

I guess it comes down to the way we phrase things, how relatively unpopular our opinions are in the context of the rest of the board, how respectful we are of each others' right to have an opinion and to express it in public. Those are some of the hallmarks of "a serious adult conversation," as far as I'm concerned. They're not easy to have, especially on a fan board on the internet!

Still not a tweet out of Keith's camp.

We are waiting, oh we're waiting...

Who knows how to send a tweet to give them a nudge?

How many copies has sold the last AC/DC album worldwide?!?Many millions! And "Grrr",another silly compilation, the second in ten years with an onlyone studio album among them has sold over 1.2 K...So why a new studio album after 11 years would sell 1 million or so?!?

In other words, Mick has sold WAY MORE solo albums than Keith has. Around 7.7 million for Mick and 1.4 million for Keith. She's the Boss sold twice as much as Talk is Cheap and Wandering Spirit sold 5 times as many copies as Main Offender.

Because sales are down as a stone year after year and now with Apple Music Stream is the end of physical sales, 2012 was like a century ago on today's music business.
AC/DC's last album has sold 2 millions, their previous one (Black Ice) sold 8 millions.

In my opinion with a massive promotion they can sell 2 millions like AC/DC album...

Welcome to 2015, Keith is an old man and won't tour your town, I'm expecting to see them since 2006 and counting.
Nobody cares about the Stones? Well, over 700k tickets sold from 15 shows are not bad at all for a half century plus years old band.

Nothing likely to show up until tomorrow morning - it's pitch dark for the next seven hours here and pouring with rain right now. Likely possibilities: Edith Grove, Station Hotel, Ealing Club, Eel Pie Island, Marquee Club, site of Olympic Studios in Barnes...

But the announcement does also mention South West England. Maybe that pub in Devon where Mick and Keith first performed together?
