Glad to see 'Factory Girl'

I went to Chicago 2 and I thought that the whole show rocked.

Highlights were G.S.,Can't You Hear Me Knocking & Rambler.

Rambler blew me away!

Question for you Kent, hoping you know.

I have an IPad & I'm looking to download the show but some things I can't access with the iPad like flash player etc..don't have any burning capabilities but I would LOVE to have this with my boot collection.

Any good links you know or do you know someone I can trust to trade with?

This thread needs to be combined with the Glastonbury thread. We already have the setlist and commentary there

Love how they totally sh*t on Bill with 2000 Light Years.

Bill said he wasn't going to play with them anymore anyway so what's the problem?

I could see your point if they were doing 'In Another Land'

Didn't Bill suggest they play it on the Steel Wheels tour?

The first time they play it without him is after he's gone off in a huff.

I actually don't know if Bill suggested it.

But it's still a Jagger/Richards composition

But I still don't think it matters, that would be like if Woody left and they did
'Thief in the Night' cause he got them to play it over 10 years ago.

I think Bill being pissed is very minor compared to what is up w/ Mick/Keith their meeting & the book apology & reading rumors that Mick didn't think Keith could cut it anymore.

I heard someone say that Taylor was there not just in guest form capacity but to be on hand should something happen w/ Keith...Idk honestly...Keefs playing great and seems to be healthy. But what the status is w/ the Glimmer Twins is beyond me

Also if anyone could point me in the right direction of how to get ahold of Chicago 2 I'd greatly appreciate it!

Like I said I have an iPad & some of the links I've found I'm unable to download. And I can't burn it from the iPad obviously.

I'm trying to find 2 copies & give one to my wife cause that was our first concert together! She would probably cry if I could get this gift for her.

We road tripped it Fri. afternoon from Indy to Chicago & made it an hr. before the show! It was AMAZING time for the both of us! We had the greatest time. Chicago was crazy that night! We made it back home about 6 a.m. Unforgettable!

Thanks In advance guys

Just watched the broadcast. Overall, it was a pretty darn good warhorse run. As was the case in North America, SMU came off surprisingly well.
Good energy in the crowd, about par to what I saw at the Toronto shows.
SFTD probably the most coherent I've seen this tour and Satisfaction was indeed excellent. Miss You and TD still the weak links IMO, and while this was not the best set in Glastonbury history (please!) I can easily still hold my head high as a Stones fan after an overall good set. (And this is still before hearing CYHMK)

...and I know this is beating a dead horse, but can someone tie Chuck's hands behind his back during Brown Sugar please?

What is the thing with Bill (Wyman?) and 2000 Light Years? An inside joke?

They really have to up their ante if the Hyde Park gigs are going to be anywhere near tonight's performance.

Why?

I have to apologise about that comment, the truth is I cant even remember posting that comment.

No drinking for me next weekend, I thinks.

I thought they played fantastic, I really liked it. They played faster, with more energy and concentration than they have done in the last 10 years. Great 2000 LY! I thought Wood was fantastic as well -his short solo during Rambler was the best bit of the show. On Rambler: I don't mind if Taylor stays at home for the rest of this and next year. He didn't bring anything at all to Rambler.

Love the part when mick is trying to take his jacket off during the start of midnight rambler, I think he forgets he is also holding the mike as well.

Just watching the BBC broadcast from last night, doesn't sound as good as at the show. Not as full.

Absolutely cracking gig, roll on Saturday!

I don't care what people say about the Satanic Majesties album itself, i've always thought "She's a Rainbow" and "2000 Light Years" were strong songs on their own. And i'm just thrilled that they are doing anything different with the set lists. I love to see JJF back in the opener spot and it's great that they dusted "2000 Light Years" off the rack.

Very cool set list and nice they shook it up a bit, and wow! Pulling 2000 Light Years was cool, albeit Mick was woefully unprepared and out of tune. He seems to struggle with coming in on time and hitting the right key, and he knows it. He gets close to Ronnie, so he can try to adjust the key. But hats off to them for shaking it up.

2.5 million people watched the stones on BBC.
1.4 million watched Arctic Monkeys.

I thought MY was great yesterday!
MR just the 2nd part was good... 2000 LYFH was very nice because it was special and did fit the hippie Glasto atmosphere but not played very good actually, SFTD not really good in total but CW, CL & DJ did very well, later KR better. SMU & TD trainwrecks. BS just 2nd half good, YCAGWYW very good (RW), Satisfaction just so so (later KR was better).

But the enthusiasm was great! Very nice to watch on the big screen at home with very good sound quality on the stereo.
