Any idea how to sign up for the presale?

Like I told before, those who are registered on Ticketek.au received this morning a notification via e-mail for the pre-sale.

Hopefully they send out pre-sale codes for the gig at Rod Laver as well.

Thinking about it...need some vaccation from work...flights is about $1500 from Gotheburg-Adelaide/Melbourne/Sydney. I can go with BA from Heathrow or Quantas from Heathrow. Prices are more or less the same.

I'd rather buy a Sebastian Krüger print for the price of one concert...this time

I am just waiting for the European leg of the tour (without floor seating and these kind of American inventions...) and of course with shorter distances...

a great Central/Eastern European stadium gig would be fantastic! Fresh enthusiastic audience, all-night party with Our Band! winking smiley

The Rolling Stones confirmed they are returning to Australia in March, promoters Frontier Touring and AEG Live announced Nov. 20. Tickets go on sale next week.

So far only one show has been announced, at the reopening of the Adelaide Oval on March 22.

The show, to 70,000, will be co-promoted with Australian/UK sports and entertainment company iEC, and former Stones member Mick Taylor will be a guest.

15,000 of the 70,000 tickets will be available for the low end A$100 ($93.90), promoters said.

More dates will be announced for Australia, with one stop for New Zealand. It is believed that one of the Australian shows will be at the picturesque Hanging Rock, outside Melbourne, which Frontier Touring’s Michael Gudinski is trying to turn into a major venue.

He has staged shows there by Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen and Rod Stewart.

“It’s great to be invited to Adelaide to open the historic Oval…we’re really looking forward to doing this gig, it will be the first time we’ve been to Adelaide in nearly 20 years, so see you there!” Mick Jagger said.

The Stones last played Adelaide in 1995 on the Voodoo Lounge tour, to 28,000 at Adelaide Football Park.

They bypassed the city on the Licks (2003) and Bigger Bang (2006) tours. It is believed that Jagger, a cricket enthusiast, couldn’t resist playing on the globally renowned sporting ground.

The South Australian Government chipped in A$450,000 (US$422,520) to lure the band, Premier Jay Weatherill confirmed.

"Hosting the world's greatest rock and roll band at Adelaide Oval will be a superb way to celebrate the completion of our world-class stadium," he said.

The Stones show will come at the tail end of a major series of festivals February and March, which draws hundreds of thousands of people to Adelaide.

These include the Adelaide Fringe, attended by 1.59 million last year, as well as Adelaide Festival and the Clipsal 500 V8 race, which draws 300,000.

A pre-sale starts Nov. 21 and the general onsale launches Nov. 25. Visit RollingStones.com for more information.

Not the Rod Laver Arena, then?

Glad they are enjoying life.
It's 9:30 pm in freezing Germany and I just finished todays' work. I would rather definitely be in the sun like Ronnie & Keith.

Does anybody have a valid date (and maybe venue) for Auckland? I need to sort out that it's not on the 19th, where I'm not in town.

Thing is, what Euro governments are going to come with 500 large like the Aussies did?

Does anyone have any concrete info( or a solid hunch) as to whether the Stones are thinking of returning to the USA in late 2014, say to MSG in NYC? I really wish I could one way or the other.....I have alternate plans and of course the Stones come first but option #2 is enticing.

I just reread this "The South Australian Government chipped in A$450,000 (US$422,520) to lure the band, Premier Jay Weatherill confirmed."

This has to be a half million dollar government subsidy for the entire Australian tour right? Surely they can't mean that amount for one single performance.

Just for this show. I doubt the people of one state would be expected to subsidise a tour for the whole country!
