often as bringing out a "hot chick" to sing with and flirt with Jagger has been standard operating procedure for a number of decades.

Based on these threads I would say that the Taylor Swift guest spot was hugely successful as both good and bad publicity sells tix and that's what this selection is all about. Andrew Oldham legacy lives on!

I don't think Stones fans would complain if young singers like Beyonce, Christina Aguillara (sp?) or types with musical soul were up there. Little Taylor Swift doesn't have the musical chops and her own songs are almost simple-minded. Then she tries to have it both ways: wants to look sexy and show of her great legs but also tries to act sweet and goodie-two-shoes. Her fans are too young to realize what a phony act that is.

I think Mick's idea however was a brilliant PR decision -- he got national tv coverage this morning. And the lasted only 4 minutes. Her silly finger waving routine showed how she treats her audiences like little kids.
