Stones to take the stage at approx 09:00pm PT in San Jose.

any guest rumours floating around? Neil Young doesn't live too far away and he isn't on tour at the moment.

She has a nice little burr in her voice, and she plays really good slide guitar.

Bonnie Raitt is a great slide guitarist. Her music is a bit mellow for me, but she can play.

I saw her guest with the Stones at Dodger stadium '06 on Dead Flowers,
and along with Buddy Guy and Clapton (and maybe Tom Waits), she was one of the best guest performers they've ever had.
Can't think of any other great ones at the moment...oh yeah, Gwen Stefani! winking smiley

Not a huge fan of all her music, but she plays great guitar and is steeped in the blues.

** Van Morrison opened for the Stones in Oakland during the same tour and was supposed to play Little Red Rooster with them , but for some reason he wimped out.
Too bad, that might have been great....

Maybe he's going to the beer store to get some beer which he will chug through his nose with a straw. You just never know!

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the Oakland stadium show a make-up show? I have in mind it got bumped to a Monday night. I also have in mind that Van was booked for a Detroit (??) show the following night. My guess is he headed directly to the airport after his set. That was the first time I saw Van. Enjoyed it thoroughly. But to a point I have made many times over the years...I think the Stones should cover Gloria. On that beautiful night (full moon) in Oakland I was hoping Jagger would join Van on that one (or vice versa).

I saw Bonnie Raitt do Shine a Light with them in Vancouver last tour. Despite horrible sound in the venue it was pretty cool.

I'm not sure about that being a make-up show, at least I dont remember it being so.
Traveled up there from So.Cal, so it would probably be something I'd remember clearly (changing travel plans, etc.), but I could be wrong.

My first time seeing Van as well, and he was one of the great openers the Stones have had over the decades.
