Keith Richards is The Rolling Stones best guitarist. ><
In the current line up? Absolutely.
Through their entire career.
No -not to me.

Keith's musical importance and huge contribution makes him The Rolling Stons best guitarist, without him whole chunks of their music simply wouldn't exist.

It still doesn't make him The Rolling Stones' best GUITARIST. He's the second best.

Well gee whiz, With all the fans Talylor has around here, he can expect a huge success after The Stones are done with him, again, and he goes out on tour of the bars, and all you Taylorites can revel in a whole sets with just him, not being held back by these (so called) medicore players in The Stones.
Have fun with that, hope he actually shows up for you.

"all they needed was a "serious" attitude to make the pop band of the past a strong contemporary rock band to compete with the scene created by hendrix, the who, zeppelin etc.."
the stones made beggars banquet before taylor was in the band.....
that sound of breaking glass and twisted metal is your theory smashing into a brick wall..
True that the seriousness was laid in BEGGARS BANQUET. But they were a studio band back then, and what I've been talking about was them as a live band. Taylor had a huge role in bringing the great music from the records to live surroundings.

I've quit the Stones five times already this year, not sure what the big deal is.
