Might want to inquire with axs.com or the Staples Center box office.

Not so good if that's a sign of the allocation, but $85 gets you in which is a bonus anyway I suppose

I just posted this in the $85 ticket thread but figured it might go well here as well...

Forgive my bad MSPaint skills. Here is a comparison that might be a bad indicator for us common folks.. If anyone grabbed tickets for the Staples Center show, and was able to see the map before today, please shed some insight. Have those pink sections always been on the map or was the top deck all red and blue prior to the $85 tickets being released?

Good catch.... but I guess we cant be suprised that some $85.00 tickets may be up there "in hell".... So here is a piece of advice from Uncle Max about what I would do if I was, when I am caught there.

All I can say is...
And my intent to do someone a favor...
And this may sound mean, and it not for the timid,
some may want to even skip reading and just be obedient... BUT

I say IF anyone gets escorted UP UP UP to those nose bleed seats, and they just accept it, and they just sit there... and pout like a little sissy.... and just steam about it.... and curse The Stones for ripping them off... and they let shitty seats for a bargain price ruin the show..... and all they do is imagine how they will whine about it on IORR as soon as the show is over... then ALL I CAN SAY IS YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!! YOU GOTTA BE MOVIN ON

Now I know some folks are perfectly happy up htere, but I was born and raised on the 1ST ten rows and I cant do it, I cant sit that far away..... it is like hell to me up there.... but some like it.... no problem, But if you are not happy with it THEN FIX IT!!! GET UP AND Go dance your way around that arena.

I would no more stay sitting in those shitty nose bleed seats than I would eat a hot dog at a concert. I might allow them to escort us up there.... I might even sit in the seats for a minute and catch my breath... and then I would never see that area again. MOVE IT ON OVER.... ROCK IT OVER!!!!

And I would find the "easy aisle", I would find easy going ushers, or I know how to time moving down when the usher is busy with others.... and then I would find my spot, even if for a song or two.

I am guessing I would find the spots while walking down the aisle between section 111 and 112 OR between section 101 and 119...

I would glide down one, or eventually both, of those aises and find the empty pocket of seats which are always there, and I would ease in there.... and I would enjoy the show, and if/when the people show up, I would move on again... outta of there... no problems, I am smiling and rocking, finding a new spot, GOTTA A MOVE IT OUT!!!

I would be happy to be in the door for $85.00 and know that means I might have to work a little harder than someone who paid $600.00 for a guaranteed spot, if I want to see the show as good as they do.

I would doubt I could make it into the pit, but I would have a look at trying to...

So thats how you do it... it is easy... go have fun.

I have been to many many shows doing it exactly like that... no one ever got mad, no one ever had to argue with me to move, I just moved on... to even better seats/stands/views.... and if when there was an opening to the floor I took it too. Did my best to keep moving never getting to be too known by any security people.

The moral? Dont be a pussy. Dont sit in nose bleed seats which should not exist. Dont have a bad time. Have a rocking time, have fun, if you're not, keep moving until you do..... move around, you might have more than you have ever had a concert.... and you sure as hell will have more fun than sitting up in hell, up in nose bleeds, up where seats should not exist. Ya got to move

Max, I love you dude. I will NOT quote your post, but I am certain someone will, and it will turn this thread instantly into a 10 page quotation. I have seen people try to do that at Stones shows, in particular at Ford Field in 2002. Kid ticked me off doing it too. I am certain he had a blast before being escorted OUT of the arena! (running across chairs on the 7th row)

I have decided in my heart that I will make the most of it, even if the seats are the absolute worst seats in the joint, which is very possible.

Yeah, as rule of thumb, one shouldnt run across the 7th row of chairs, unless of course, one is are "that guy" who is always there looking for a light, or papers, or a pipe or something.... or any of the other cast of concert characters who always seem to be there.

And dont tick people off, think/mantra "glide" "ease" rock roll.

Play it like the freeway at 2:00 in the after noon, blend in, dont be obvious, just ease in when the spot of right and go with the flow, I usually have great luck and fin d a good spot and not have to move toom any times, and to this day wonder why the people never came to their good seat, but I didnt ask anyone while I was there.

I was once at a John Mellencamp concert (yes, I still feel guilty about going to that crappy concert) and was bootlegging it from a decent section... Keep in mind I was around 16, had just seen the Stones in St. Louis and was hardcore into concerts as a result. (I grew up overseas, so I never had a chance to go to any good concerts - Panama) So I am there with a really crappy setup. Tape deck, lousy microphone, and my backpack. This was my second attempt at an audience recording and was a learning experience..

I'll cut to the chase.. Some dudes in their 50s (I think) in the upper deck tried to rat me out. The ushers kept coming over and trying to hassle the older folks near me until finally I interrupted the usher and said "its me, I have the recorder, will put it away, ok?" and he stopped hassling everyone.

The whole time I'm thinking 'you idiots, you could have a great souvenir of this gig!!' So yes, play it cool, get along with the people around you!

In 2002 I developed a much better method than the backpack + mono tape deck!

God bless the tapers and videographers and everyone who does what they can to keep the live music from simply evaporating. Thank you ALL smileys with beer

The way Staples is built, it's not easy to move around. For Aerosmith, the lower level was half empty but the best I could do was 206. Most of the lowers and PR's have one tightly guarded entrance with walls built around the sections themselves. The upper deck is on top of several stories of luxury boxes making it a worse spot to be than the upper deck at a baseball stadium.

Anyone remember what happened to Rerun on 'What's Happening!' when he tried to bootleg the Doobie Brothers concert?

Lesson is...Don't jump and down with a tape recorder in your jacket!

$85 tickets are a welcome bit of goodwill, and savvy PR. Tickets were available only through their website, giving Stones fans in the know an edge over the "tourists".

Granted only a lucky few will get access to the coveted tongue pit, but wouldn't expect that all others will be in the upper tier or rear stage. Some might be rubbing elbows with those in the $600 seats - especially if they'd be otherwise unoccupied.

I e mailed TM Customer Service and found out they will not let me keep both pairs of tickets that I had gotten for Vegas, they are two "per household." They are going to refund me the one pair about two weeks after purchase.

plexi

I feel that it's unfair to fans who genuinely thought that you could go for up to 8 tix for friends/family.
I personally think that 2 tix per person/household is fairer to the real fans, but in a lot of instances like above with plexi, let them have the 2 extra tix. confused smiley

The wording was totally unclear. confused smiley

It's unfair to the fans alright.

The ones who COULD have purchased the tickets had they already not been acquired by people ho didn't bother o do their (easy) research prior to trying to stockpiling them.

How is someone buying 2 pairs of $85 tickets for himself and 3 of his friends/family members unfair to "true fans"? Who's to say those 3 people aren't "true fans", as well?

Harpo, how did you find that link for the Anaheim 85 dollar tickets? Did it reappear on the Stones site or did you have the original link bookmarked which you checked periodically? I'm looking for Toronto tickets that may reappear but I don't know where to check. The $85 ticket link on rollingstones.com seems to always be dead.

When I purchased mine in Boston you had the a section choice: Balcony or General Admission. I purchased GA tickets so I assume that they are not in the Balcony.

I did just pull up two $85's in Anahiem at 8pm EST the section said Voucher does anybody now exactly what that means.

The links were posted on the Anaheim show planning link in this forum. You might go to the Rolling Stones.com site, get tickets and click the regular link, not the $85 link. Also could try the venue web site. If you click the Las Vegas regular link the $85 tickets show, but are not for sale.
