Got a ticket for the 13th, my first Rolling Stones show.
Going on my own as could only afford one sad smiley Hopefully after a few drinks I'll make some new friends smiling smiley

I've decided I'm not going to listen to any of the war horses between now and the gig, so that it all sounds fresh. I've over done it on the dvds & Youtube videos slightly.

Hey, for a stones virgin the warhorses are not warhorses. Enjoy what may be your first and last stones gig, including all the warhorses. Why not listen intensly between now and then?

The support acts for me are a let down ,when in my younger days I was FOS there when the Who Quadrophenia thing was on.Starting about mid day with great entertainment.
Great acts like,Alanis Morrisette,Eric Clapton,Bob Dylan with Ronnie Wood in his band and so many others great acts.
I would love to be in the T3 section for The Rolling Stones, but 10 hours of the support for the day would be too much. confused smiley

All you youngsters at FOS will have a great time. cool smiley

GA is still available on the BST site. I don't doubt it will sell out at some point though.

Just went on BST. Ask for 1 GA. It was OK. Ask for 2, could not. Apparently, it seems to be sold out. Except maybe premiums. But no offer on BST.

Sold out yes. But for the next coming days, weeks, months there will always become tickets available because of transactions that went wrong, people who return tickets etc. etc.

I hope this will decide them to perform stadiums in their hypothetical rumored European Tour instead of arenas dedicated to rich few.

PHD, as I remember you saw the Stones at Stade de France...as did I.
How do you feel about this as a venue for the Stones?
I can't get excited about going to Staples Center in LA, which is where I live.

But I can always get excited about going to Paris!
My dream is still to see them at the Olympia, but I guess we know this will probably not happen.

My family teases me mercilessly for my Stones obsession but deep down they all love the Stones
What about you - are you going?

I'm waiting for PARIS. Was there in 1969....remember it all vividly.
I think it's great they all love the Stones!

Yes, my family can't understand my fixation either - So thought I had better pass on the legacy by taking my son - we all have opinions and different views on Stones related issues. but that all goes out the window when you put on a CD - LP Of what we all know is without doubt 'THE GREATEST ROCK 'N' ROLL BAND EVER.

To make myself crystal clear, I am waiting for the Rolling Stones to play Paris this year.

ProudMary asked if I was going to Hyde Park this July. I'd prefer to wait for Paris.

I was at Hyde Park in 1969.

If I had been there in 1969, the Hyde Park concerts woud've been the only concerts I wouldn't want to miss....even if I had to choose between London and a concert in my home town
And I think that people take a big gamble not to go to London in the hope that they do some more concerts in Europe
The november concerts were great, the American tour is selling well, Hyde Park sold out....looks like a perfect scenario to stop after this

That's exactly it. I was, and I can't possibly afford it, but I couldn't not be there again this time! Just like I couldn't not see them in November, just in case it was my last chance, though I didn't really think it would be. (Incidentally somebody just sent me a sticker from MSG in '81 that says "last tour!" on it. But you just never know.)

I was not born in July 69, so what can a poor girl do
Except to listen to a rock n roll band in Hyde Park this July

I'd like to go to Paris too! But are you sure they'll Paris this year?
