Yes it's true, but it never happened that announce a single date, Glastonbury, before a tour .... I begin to have doubts
hope I'm wrong

it's not the Stones who announced Glasto, but Glasto which announced its 2013 line-up, and it includes the Stones. bit different.

The North American Tour will be announced tomorrow Wednesday. Cites they will be performing at has been mentioned here already. Also, they will play 3 UK dates, including Glastonbury + two Hyde Park dates. Total of approx 20 shows this summer. This has been said many times here in the past. Please ignore those who post misleading info contradicting these simple facts.

Rolling Stones in Boston?

By Jed Gottlieb / Boston Herald

OK, first Paul McCartney announces a Fenway Park show. Now, Stones lips and "She Comes in Colors" are flashing on the video tower outside the Boston Convention Center. Are Mick and Keef coming to Boston? Probably.

The Stones are expected to announce a summer tour on Wednesday but have kept mum on the dates and locations. They have however hinted with lips and lyrics on billboards across the country -- "Start Me Up" near the San Francisco Bay Bridge, "Satisfaction" on La Brea Boulevard in Los Angeles, and a scattering of others.

A few weeks back, Rolling Stone magazine reported concert promoter AEG had put together an 18-date summer jaunt through the States and Canada. Rumors are this will be a slightly smaller event than past tours -- this likely means TD Garden, which is small for the Stones. The magazine also revealed the band was making up to $5 million a gig so don't expect $25 nose-bleed seats.

Details to come Wednesday...

[bostonherald.com]

I'll give you 100-1 odds they'll play Boston.

100-1? Adverts there would make the odds better than even money.

Will the London shows also be confirmed tomorrow?

but i probably only can go on July 13.. but i have faith that i will get a ticket. I'd have loved to go to Glasto, but i don't think that's possible at all.

So which are the latest rumoured dates?
I'm crossing my fingers for July 6+13.

Same here !!! Don't have any specific source but in my opinion it is more than suspicious that BST did not announce anything for these two dates so far whereas Bon Jovi's show is scheduled since early February. Furthermore on the official FB-Page there was a picture of Hyde Park 69 posted a few minutes ago! Sounds about right to me... winking smiley

Purely for research purposes, Deltics! :E

On a related note: Robert Greenfiel mistook those butterflies for doves as well, so there's a precedent

How many people have space in a Hyde Park Concert???

Are there also some seats, from which you can see the show for sure or are there only standing places??

Re: Hyde Park

Normally there are no seats but AEG already announced that their British Summer Time Festival will extremely differ from Hard Rock Calling. For example they are going to move the stage to another place in the park. Nevertheless, the crowd is limited by law to 65.000 each show.

Most important: When Glastonbury was the topic yesterday on Planet Rock Radio, they announced that the Stones will do "another open air show this summer - in the heart of London" --> HYDE PARK SHOW WILL HAPPEN !!! The only question is whether they will only do one gig (6th or 13th of July) or both dates. Anyway, you can meet me there grinning smiley

Those who have been to Hyde Park gigs in the past, how have you found them in terms of being able to see/hear clearly when not near the front?

A friend will come with me but is financially constrained so i'll have no chance of being able to get us into any circles etc it'll be general admission. Is it worth me going in that case if I can't get near the front?

Any advice for securing a spot as close as possible? I ask as I've never been to an outdoor concert before.
