You fell out of the clear blue sky To the darkness below The smell of your flesh excites me Blood starts to flow, so help me God
You burst in in a blaze of light You unzippered the dark One kiss took my breath away One look lights up the stars
And it's, it's one hit to the body

come on tod, SING IT!!!!

I never liked Keiths first solo album "talk is cheap". Hardly any rock songs on it. He should have done Dirty Work his soloalbum since he and Ronnie wrote most of the tunes. The best songs from Talk is cheap and Dirty work and you would had a good soloalbum for Keith.

Hilarious! Especially since you practically named yerself after Keith's album.

Well, he had a good name for the album but I was disappointed by its content. The problem with Keith (and Ronnie) is they didn't have people around them that dared to tell them if a song sucked.

You are mistaking Keith for Mick.

Somehow DW has a couple of great stand alone songs but when one listens to the album as a whole it fails. Not sure why this happens.

have you checked all the settings on your system? do you get it serviced regularly?

Sorry I don't follow. ??

Maybe that'll help.

Yeah! And what's even funnier is CBS/Columbia thought it was worthy! Had it been dwindled down to an EP it may have made more sense but noooo.

I like many songs on Dirty Work:

Harlem Shuffle
One Hit (To The Body)
Had It With You
Sleep Tonight
Fight
Too Rude

Some of the rockers have Tattoo You-quality, imo.

Not bad at all. Mick wasn't at his peak, but heck you can't always get... thumbs up

I friggin love this record. I was just playing it the other day, and am still baffled by the disdain for this album. "One Hit" is one of my favorite Woody era Stones tunes....the acoustic guitar intro, drums, just a classic to me. "Had It With You" is a another classic Stones rocker. The title track is great. I just think its an outstanding record without a bad song really. There isn't a Stones record that I don't like, but I love this album!

I feel the same way.... about most Stones albums.... but isnt it interesting how so many people on IORR seem to just love to hate some things/albums/tours? They seem to thrive on hating on things, as they nonstop smart off about them. It seems somewhat insane the way some here will latch onto something and then crank out 10-30 pages of hate for it... no matter the topic.

Every Stones album/tour has good and bad...
it is just puerile to bash non stop on any of their albums/tours, like some seem to do.

The problem with Stones since Goats head soap, is they have not had a decent producer. I agree with Andy Johns when he says the Stones don't have an idea' how to produce a record.
