I didn't know for years that Blondie was lead vocal on Sail on Sailor. The subject matter of the song, everything about it pointed to it being Brian. It's a very strange happenstance.

Are you sure it wasn't his fellow South African and former Flame bandmate, Ricky Fataar? He was Bonnie Raitt's drummer when she opened for the Stones on the last tour.

Brian did write the song and sang it live in the most recent tour.

I see that they included it on the controversial DVD of their 50th Anniversary Concerts DVD. They also include the other Blondie vocal, Marcella. (I just listened to the Carl and the Passions album version on YouTube. That really has that 'HOlland' sound. It sounds more like a Carl vocal.
