I am guessing that the unsold seats will go at 1/2 face value the day before the show. Is $416 too much to see MT play with the Stones again?

The bottom line is that even though they haven't sold all the seats the promoters are still making BIG profits off the ones they already sold. Do the math. Some business geek made the decision to start high and hype like hell, it seems to be working.

I am embarassed that I took the bait and am now firmly hooked on having a good time, I'm going to party for a week and make it seem like a vacation. It's only money, wtf. peace

I paid $450 to sit side-of-stage, 3rd row, at MSG last tour. I know others paid that PLUS $100 for fan club membership. This time I am side-of-stage probably 20 rows back (105) and I paid $60 more than I did last time. I live in Brooklyn and will be in my seat an hour after I leave my house. I agree that $800 to sit in the back is insane but this was a relatively good deal. I'm not goin to stress it, I'm tremendously looking forward to this.

I've got this theory... if I look at "$831.90" long enough... if I stare really hard and really really focus.... the $831.90 will come to me.

Under my pillow (the tooth fairy) or into my PayPal account (the PayPal fairy).

I don't mind which.

I can provide my PayPal account details for any fairies out there.

I am not going to get into bickering back and forth, but how would you know? You have no idea what i paid for the Amstel Continental, when I stayed there, and comparable rates for the hotel you mention. Have fun at your show.. But please try not to be so preumputuous you know my expenses for a vacation i took. Once again the value of my vacation, i think, far far exceeds a 120 minute show for $2,5000 package that would get me one ticket in rows 6-10 here in US.
CHeers, have fun, enjoy yourself. We all make choices. Mine is righ tfor me, yours is right for you. Peace.

Think about it, you can get a eight ball, a hotel room, a decent escort, and a nice steak dinner with change left over

or...

12 warhorses with a seat next to some middle aged yahoo drunk singing their lungs out to every song.

an eight ball.

and be sure to order the steak first

I thought about that and your absolutely right. No appetite later.

Could that be the most expensive face value seat in history for anyone? On ticketmaster right now - BACK OF THE FLOOR - with the option to buy an $863.00 brussles package that is not even signed.

..grotesque.

Brother, you are spot on. My wife and I are looking at purchasing our first house, trying to expand our business, and spend more time with family. The next four years are going to be some of the most uncertain times, financially, for businesses across the country, mine included. Not even sure if we should get into a mortgage at this point.

$1700 for two tickets is just insane. Here I am thinking about purchasing a new camera for my business (would love to get a RED Epic) or doing radio ads to reach out to business owners, but going to a single concert would wipe me out... With travel, lodging, food, its $3000, easily.

does your kid, little johny, really need braces for his teeth?

not this year, sorry kid. his class photo will suck but his dad and mom are going to have a great time in brooklyn soon.

next year straight teeth and a nice class photo on the agenda.

Well it is all relative what you spend your money on to give enjoyment. Great that folks who are going are psyched. Enjoy the show! I will enjoy from the comfort of my living room on PPV.

Thats a deal! My wife used to play and teach bagpipes and she loved traveling across Ireland and Scotland. I've never been and with my red hair it is obvious where my lineage comes from. Gazza, I'm calling you...

The bagpipes are a fantastic and beautiful sounding instrument. IMO, other than a strong vocal choir, there is no other instrument that can resonate right thru you when played by a group of bagpipers. Add to that the tapping of the drums and "Amazing Grace" and emotions run deep.

Man I love the bagpipes too. Ever since I was 3 or 4 years old, something very primal in those tones. The only thing that comes close is a sweet compressed, slide guitar, ala Lowell George on the tune Roll 'em Easy or even Brian on No Expectations. If you haven't checked out Little Feat's tune Roll 'Em Easy I highly recommend it. Would have posted it but my internet is dragging this AM. peace
