I'd be expecting God to be the support act at these prices BOOM GRRR!

Cheers,
SonicD

While God is very supportive he's plays second fiddle to no one.

we're talking clapton, right?

I would NOT pay that to be put to sleep by Clapton before the circus cash-clowns took to the stage. I was being literal!

Cheers,
SonicD

Last night (monday) Evening Standard had "exclusive interview" with Jagger. He said Bill Wyman will join them for some songs.

For sure there will be an extra charge for Bill as will be for Mick Taylor for every song they're on. Has to be paid at the venue by AMEX. Otherwise you'll be thrown out for the time of that songs. If you don't have AMEX you'll never get back in.

Well Bill W and Mick T are the obvious but how about -
Sir Fab Macca backing vocals on We Love You with all of Brian's children on mellotron or maybe Macca can bring his Tron and play it. They could do 2000 light years as well to make it worthwhile.
Please no elic crapton - most over rated guitarist of his or any generation.
How about Dick Taylor for a Little Boy Blue acoustic interlude ?

Aside from Wyman & Taylor, the only guests who can come will be one of their idols, and a few of them remains : Chuck, BB King. Buddy Guy was the latest to come on Shine A Light. Maybe he will be there.

serious answers would be appreciate.

For 50's birthday shows the list should be :

- Bill Perks of course as permanent guess for the London shows at least. THE bass player we miss so much
- Tina Turner (oh yes !.. 69.. 81.. 88 solo tour she was there)
- Buddy Guy (what a perf on SAL and no blues guest would be an error for such a band which started with the blues LP's for references)
- Eric old friend Clapton (played recently with Keff, remember ?)
- Mick Taylor if does not spend all the time adjusting the volume rather than playing.

Making the list I realize how many are gone... Brian, Billy, Nicky, Muddy, Gram...

"we know it's a bit late but we hope you don't mind if we stay"

I'll be on the floor Nov. 25 watching Macca in Vancouver, so I can confirm he won't be guesting in London.

If Wyman were to come out for the encore at the PPV show, he'd get more camera time in two songs than he got in 25 years touring with the band.

Do you think he's up to it?

They usually have three types of guests.

1/ A superstar from their era - If they were going for pure star power to blow the general public away Paul McCartney singing "I Wanna be Your Man" with them would be a wet dream for the media. Considering Macca's recent close ties with Keith and Ronnie I do not rule this out despite some of the protests it might cause on this board. If not Macca I think that Clapton and Bono would be likely candidates.

2/ Current Superstar - Back in 89 the Stones brought up Axl + Izzy from Guns and Roses. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters (remember SNL) the Black Keys or Pearl Jam join the Stones on stage...I wouldn't be totally shocked if they brought Adele up on stage. That would be a big headline.

3/ A blues artist who influenced them - Somebody along the lines of Buddy Guy or BB King might fit the bill.

There is also no question in my mind that Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor will play with them during these concerts. All of the living Rolling Stones will share the stage together at some point in the coming weeks. There could be no bigger "guests" than Wyman and Taylor for die hard Stones fans.

Paul won't be there as he's in Vancouver for his own show the 25th...on the other hand, Wyman/Taylor actually would have me considering a PPV.

How much of your Canadian $50 would you like to go to Wyman and Taylor?

Jeff Beck and Jack White (not at the same time). And Joss Stone I suppose.

P.S. Tina Turner is retired, isn't she?
