The Black Crowes have done some great stones covers over the years but nothing I ever heard by anyone even comes close to them playing torn and frayed. 11/20/10 in atlanta is a gem.

Rockman posted this link for Norton Records about a week ago in another thread about a Rolling Stones cover. Norton has a whole series of singles dedicated to Stones covers, some of them by lesser known groups/artists.

There are so many.

Beside Honky Tonk Women (covered by Ike & Tina Turner as mentioned by Runaway), Tina Turner also covered Under My Thumb and Let's Spend The Night Together.

She also sang a medley of Jumpin' Jack Flash and It´s Only Rock and Roll on recent tours.

Rickie Lee Jones made Sympathy For The Devil on her new album

"Does she care what the songwriters or performers make of her versions? Jones says: "A lot of people who know Mick Jagger have been asking me: 'Has Mick heard this version of Sympathy For The Devil?' But I'm not sure I want that sort of measuring. I guess if he came out and said he thought it was the bees-knees, then it would have some sort of Kudos. But he could say he hated it. Either way, I think it's important not to care - otherwise it corrupts the process."

An oddball cover:

Of course Neil "borrowed" Lady Jane for Borrowed Tune

"I'm singin' this borrowed tune
I took from the Rolling Stones,
Alone in this empty room
Too wasted to write my own."

even the N.Y.C punk scene paid its tribute to the Stones back in 1978..Johnny Thunders ,Richard Lloyd ,Ivan Julian ,Billy Rath ,Jerry Nolan ,Robert Quine ,Billy Stark ,Lynn Todd ,Robert Gordon ,Sylvain Sylvain ,Billy Balls ,James Chance.
Max's KC 25th July 1978...billed as "Rolling Stones tribute"
A good audience tape has survived and been uploaded on Dime ages ago.
