Yes Winter. From an album that's one of the best (top 3) I think.
And Satisfaction and many songs like that for the unbelievable energy he can put in it. And humour or irony, An underestimated band member in more than one way if you read lots of posts on this site. By the way I'm new here. So hi everyone.

Let It Loose and I Don't Know Why have always done it for me....but hard to argue with most anything he sang in his prime...and then his pleading on Beast of Burden and Miss You are a whole other thread...

I go with moonlight mile. It has a really wide range of what he can do.

definately agree with Let It Loose & I Don't Know Why...both brilliant.
Throw in Memo.
But I think Sympathy trumps them all...just.

Funky: Undercover Of The Night
Blues: Down In The Hole
Country: Torn And Frayed
Soul: I Got The Blues
Pop: I Am Waiting

Love your choises, but as rocker I might have put Dance Little Sister and Paint it, Black for Pop.

Special mention to Emotional Rescue, Heaven, Tops and No Use in Crying (to much Tatoo You in there?

The latter part of "Worried About You" is certainly up there: I mean, from "Yeeeah, I'm a hard workin' maaain" and on.

"Crazy Mama" is also worth a mention.

Hm. Lots and lots of "balls" to both of these recordings. Guess that's how I like my Jagger vocals. I'd however say these deliverances are still more, well, "artistic" and, in a way, "sensible" than the snarling ten years later in songs like "Had it With You", which I (by the way) like as well.

It surprises me greatly that no one but me can hear Mick's unrivaled raw voice right in the song 'It's all over now' ... It's probably Stones "Like a Rolling Stone '...at least to my ears..smiling smiley

Ooo. Forgot that one.

And, of course, "Shine a Light", "Winter", "Let it Loose" and all those classics are top-notch, but at the same time they are predictable choices (probably for a very good reason, but anyway).

What about, say, "Feel on Baby"? Nobody?

IAON is great, but the vocals are pretty much straight forward from Mick on the verses. The combination of Mick and Keith's voices in the chorus, however, is magic!

No Expectations another great Jagger vocal. As is the studio version of Fingerprint File. And You Can't Always Get What You Want. Sublime with his phrasing and dripping sarcasm. Classic.

I've always enjoyed the live version the most. More spot on rhythm-wise, imo.

I don't know if Rockman is joking but 'Exile on Main Street Blues' is really an excellent track from Mick...he's probably just rapping(has not written down) the lyrics also...
