It would be nice if I could start planning my trip a bit. So Mick & Co, please announce those dates.

Barclays Center`s schedule says there`s a Basketball match on Dec. 7th..... Schedule there is pretty packed anyway!

yep. Theres nothing to stop an arena stage being disassembled for a day or two and then reassembled again, though. Happens all the time.

Likewise with the 02.

The basketball game on Nov 7th is a road game being played in Miami, Fl.

Yep. Steinschlag said December 7th, though. Brooklyn Nets are listed as being at home to Golden State Warriors on that night.

The venue is available on the following dates in November-December:

Nov 6,7,8, 22, 26, December 6,8,13, 16,17, 19,21.

Ooops, my error looked at the wrong month.

So this is a brand-new venue with still some construction to be finished ?

I'd hate to spend big bucks going there, only to find out the sound is like the Amsterdam ArenA.

As Rocky says, I've got various modes (NOT various identities). Sometimes I'm
being cooly logical and other times, I'm just living out a fantasy of what
I wish was happening.

Like any other fan.

Except even my flights of fantasy are based on what facts are known at the time,
and my analysis of how Jagger plays the game. The biggest problem with my
fantasies over the years has not been their content, but rather their timing.
I am the guy who accurately predicted that the center of the stage would come
out on rails into the center of the crowd. The only problem: I predicted it for
the No Security tour.

So, Tele, if I were you I wouldn't yet bet the house against the Free Farewell
Festival concept (which if you remember included as a part of it very expensive
arena shows, like Brooklyn and the O2). It still may be where we are ultimately
headed, and it is still in my opinion the only viable touring concept that has
yet been put forward for this band at this time.

The only one who believes in the festivals concept is you. Free festivals concerts are not something an organization like the Rolling Stones would even consider. It is entirely your personal fantasy.

Free is my personal fantasy too. But I also have other better personal fantasies like beer. Put the two together and whoa!

I'm putting my chip on Gazza!

I think it's the black one, yes?

As far as opening in NYC and London, well, those are the two cities that some of us have expected
them to play, undoubtedly, the next time around. After five years +, why the heck not, with the
demand that's been built up? I think the band is used to criticism, just a bit, huh.

I keep having to repeat this for you Euros, but the 6th and 22nd are *not* possible dates. They are Election Day and Thanksgiving, respectively. The only serious open dates are Nov. 2, 7-8, and 26, though I wouldn't be shocked if the event on the 4th gets postponed.

Like I said before, the Stones played on Thanksgiving in 2005 (Denver) so they have a track record of doing so, and selling a venue out.

Good point re: November 6th, but I dont think the New York shows will be as early as Election Day anyway - December is more likely. After the London dates.

Angee - thats a lot of weight on my little shoulders!

No. Haven't heard anything. Don't know the dates either. Have heard some dates mentioned for London, but I couldnt comment on how accurate they are because I simply dont know.

Don't really see why anyone would get frantic about it. It's not really going to give anyone an advantage to know or hear anything before anything's confirmed. When any tickets go on sale and how to get them are more important.

The only dilemma for me is that I'm going on holiday in two weeks and it'd just be my luck if they put tickets on sale then!

What I will say is that carlostones10 posted on here a couple of weeks ago that the September 4th announcement would ONLY be about the greatest hits release and that any announcement of shows wouldnt come until mid-September. He was spot on with the first one, so maybe we'll hear something very soon about the second part.

I was worried about going on holiday too....we live in the U.K. but are currently in Taiba, Brazil. I had to get a new laptop to take with me just in case the tickets went on sale !! Internet coverage isn't great here but I'm persevering !!

Well I go on annual leave the first weeks of October, returning to a contract that ends about 6 weeks later. So I am screwed if the dates are early November, no way I can get leave that soon again, and not in the position to just quit like I did on one stage of ABB tour. I have to hope for early December dates if at all, then some miracle of an airline deal. I am so frustrated, I am contractually bound to not work outside my company, and I am pretty sure my work Visa and provisional registration prevent it, I am too old and fat to sell my body unless it is by the pound to be rendered for glue and soap, I just may be one miracle short of the last time.

Yeah, Tele, that was Revvy's prediction at the time, but he didn't claim insider knowledge, it was his reading of the cards. However, the Revvy talking today isn't being fanciful at all, he's being logical. I agree 100% with the logic that for a band that is rusty and needs very much to prove they still have their chops together, choosing to return to the stage after five years in two of the biggest cities on the planet makes zero sense. If we were placing bets, for once I'd move my chips away from Gazza and put them on Revvy's number. It's a matter of playing it safe and besides, it's not like I'll be disappointed if Gazza's right and there are shows. I suppose its worthwhile to note Gazza isn't sticking with November dates in New York and London only as Billboard suggested. He's just saying dates this year are still the plan today and taking a wait and see approach himself. Same thing Bill German is saying in his latest update. I think all of us are reluctant to follow blindly this time. Hope for the best, expect the worst is more likely what most of us are feeling.

Yes, and there isn't a whole lot of difference between late November and January anyway. And it's not like we don't have lots of great things coming our way in October and November. I can wait. Even until spring if necessary. We have waited five years, what's another few months?

Can we exclude 17-18th of november? That would solve one problem I have. The Killers play then, right?
