Is Keith ready for Tour????
Posted by: john nicholls ()

Ok it looks like the Stones have been rehearsing and talking about going on the road again. My biggest doubts in the last couple of years have been by concerns about Keith's health and guitar playing. We can only assume Keith is well enough and his guitar playing is up to an acceptable level? I'm not knocking Keith here no one will be more pleased than me if they tour again.
Any thoughts?

I think the bigger question is, is Blondie ready?

If Blondie's ready, Keith'll sound fine.

I think there need to be more threads like this. Because there aren't enough already.

They will shoot him up and prop him on stage,no matter what,as long as money can be made, and someone else will play his licks, and Keith will pretend to be playing ala "Weekend at Bernies"

"Doing some gigs" is not necessarily "going on the road".

Have you ever played Brown Sugar? In terms of difficulty, it ain't exactly Stravinsky. Let's roll.

True, but in a couple of videos on youtube,he seems to be having trouble even remembering the chords to Satisfaction, and it don't get any simpler than that,so who knows...

When a musician doesn't practice regularly it's normal that he or she will forget how one song goes. Keith needs to pratice probably a little more than the others who have been musically more active in the last few years. Why is he not interested in playing regularly, just for the fun of it? Burn out? Being there, down that maybe? Hopefully with the Stones getting ready to roll again, Keith will have a reason to pick up the guitar and most of all have fun doing it. That is the way to go Keith!

I'll settle for whatever he's got. I'm actully thinking it may create a bit more wobble in the music as Bill Wyman put it, a refreshing thought after the precision the last shows I saw. Don't get your hopes up for 100 city TOUR, I pretty sure that ain't happening. peace

Yeah. Keith says he sometimes can't remember the "middle parts" of songs. No reason to be concerned. It didn't seem to bother Ron Wood for about 20 years either. Just play whatever I guess....

Absolutely brilliant pic, Hansie! That look of confidence and ease as he takes the curve--he'll make it to the finish line for sure!

To say: "It's good to be here, it's good to be anywhere" he is okay. Had he done anything more on last tour?
