Yep. Guess they are very "local" because in the States they are virtual unknowns. Guess they are sort of like The Jam, who also could neber "break" it in the USA.

I have no idea who The Jam are....certainly not overly popular here in California. But then i've never heard a song by Oasis either, I fortunately heard an interview first and decided never to taste their medicine.
The Who - Live at leeds was nothing short of a religious experience for me. peace

If you like the Who, then give the Jam a listen--they're heavily mod/Who influenced. It's Paul Weller's band from the late 70s--great Rickenbacker guitar sound with Townshend-type crash chords.

Yes Sway you wild child, those boys were fun to watch, all three chords. . Reminded me of the fun I had in rock bands in high school, musically, but the singer gave me chills reminding me of the great Steve Mariott. RIP
Here is a guy I just dicovered today, would make me proud to be an Israeli, which is saying quite a lot for him these days. You might like his electric version better, but you know me, I usually go for the stripped down versions. A good song is a good song in any case. peace
