The general feeling seems to be LA, is this leaked or just wishful thinking on some people's parts? I'd be happy with anything from 1970 - 1980...but personla preference would be Leeds 71 or Abbatoirs 76

I wouldnt call it wishful (not to me), just a guess of some people. but people are also guessing it will be mocambo, which will not happen.......

This cover artwork has been posted on a Japanese website last week:

I thought LA FRIDAY, in all of its variants, was an audience recording.

Hmmm, well as I said on another thread, that artwork is being sold on a mug on the official web site so it looks as though it could well be LA Friday.

That's right!
But they also recorded those shows and many others from 75. We'll see what happens . .

Well, I was hoping for a '75 show as that was the first time I saw them. Still, this would be the first in the admittedly young Archive Series where they didn't remix and remaster a well known multi-track. As good as the audience recording of this show is, there's nothing for a Bob Clearmountain to do but mess with equalization settings. IF they replicate this long beloved two-channel bootleg from multi-tracks I would be mightily impressed.

I think if they are going to mix and release a show it will be from uncirculated board tapes, not an audience source.

Presumably, they're using the boot names, not the boot tapes, for the official releases.

I would rather it be from a tour where we have no other official releases (which is why I liked the Brussels 73 release).

Leeds 71 would be great.

Easy : both SA releases have been given the special treatment record execs are so fond of nowadays. It's called "compression" "loudness war" or "brickwalled mastering". Do a Google/youtube search and you'll see how damaging this trend is : every instrument sounds bad metallic and artificial.

So I wonder who'll destroy the 1975 show... sad smiley

A 1975 show on my 20th birthday would be the best present ever!

I bet they will be heading to the 90's with this one. Pure crap specualtion from my side, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get something like Bremen'98 or Miami'94, for instance.

In my humble opinion, they should release the REHEARSAL GIGS.The small gigs. And leave the rehearsals untouched as they are.

The mistake they made at Toronto's RPM was priceless!! Keith turned around to the band and loudly said "STOP". The Palais Royale gig was also priceless. And of course, albeit not a 'rehearsal', we want the ElMo gigs.

I like my Stones concerts down and dirty;leave them unsanitised.

that`s what I´m afraid of too. I would guess Atlantic City 89 will be the one.
