It never ceases to amaze me how fast news travels on IORR. Some music sites I visit would take a week or more to get the info in the last 3 posts. Great clip from'75 . winking smiley

All the reason more for the Stones to make a documentary, with these kinds of clips wrapped around the best song footage from wherever for the 75/76 concerts and call it Tour of the Americas and Europe. (With the option to go just to the performances on your DVD).

Cheers for the link.

It's great seeing them casually strutt to the stage, heading off to work...in front of thousands of people!

jagger off of the helicopter is a wonder - so laid back, oblivious to any chaos - and when the fans first get sight of them near the end of the clip and start going crazy - i mean, forget about it - that's sort of the point of it all - "they are here - they are sharing our space - we are about to take them in" - that effing preamble - brilliant

1) interesting to see elton taking on a sideman's demeanor and position
trailing the band

2) I love "fanfare for the common man"!

3) i hate blood sweat and tears, that song anyway.

Yes, exactly the best of the best from 1975 and 1976. That would be terrific.

He tried to stay on stage for the entire show, though, but had to leave the stage eventually, right?

He had to leave the piano quite quick, but he stood behind the band on stage for a while, hoping to get invited to play on more songs than just "Honky Tonk Women".....but: no luck

Here he is.....with the white cowboy-hat behind Keith Richards

look at lisa robinson right next to elton - talk about journalistic access - never could figure out what got her in - she could barely write -

was there a "castle" theme on the outdoor tent that year?

and it's funny to hear rudge talking about a 32 year old man" running down the ramp... little did he know what was to come.... smiling smiley

At about 1:27 Mick does the impossible by showing up behind Elton: Mick makes Elton look "straight' and macho while Mick with his make up and outfit looks like a gay 'cross-dresser.'

Thanks for sharing.

Don't let the laid back demeanor fool you. he's very much aware of the chaos and thrives on it.

I remember seeing that film back in the 70's.

The ramp and the "32 n'all... could you do that at 32?.."

It must have been on ITV or BBC because I would not have seen it any other way.

Yeah... and "32"... like 32 was old!
