Max'sKansasCityThat is a fact man, it makes no sense how mint condition LPs can sell for so low... it seems inevitable that sooner or later, if they are taken care of, that they have to go up in value.... they sure cant get much cheaper.... I have found some gems for 50 cents to a buck.Quote

It is in pristine condition and was issued in 1962...I don't feel worthy, especially after picking this up for about $3...it's ridiculous what used LPs in this condition can be worth.

Just had a drop and cover earthquake drill at school in Jakarta.
Is that like the old "duck and cover" for an atomic attack ?

Pretty much, a recording with "duck and cover..." and then you hide under your desk. Creepy.

I'm trying to eat a salmon I caught in a river this morning. But it's too big.....I'm unable to eat it all.
if you're an ecologically-friendly type, you'd put whatever you didn't eat back in the river....

Ooooh, how did I ever miss this fun thread?
Still at work, enjoying the blissful silence, after just dismissing twenty-two boisterious, hormonal middle school students...just me and the cleaning crew. I'm writing emails and lesson plans, they are cranking up the Spainish radio station and the vacuums.
I'll take one of those cream ales now, treacle. Happy Friday, everyone.

...and THAT quip is just so Munich.
It's the cream making me nostalgic. I wonder if we could do a write in campaign on StonesTod's behalf to get him reinstated.
I'd be willing to let RollingHansie vouch for him and guarantee StonesTod's good behaviour.

Uh oh... so now we can be expect the "sexist patrol" to show up here too?
And I was wondering....
Is doing the dishes considered art?
What if one screams while doing the dishes?
What if one screams and breaks some of the dishes while doing the dishes... then can it be considered art?

If a dish falls in the forest and Yoko screams, and no one is there, is THAT art?
That I think is what this is really all about.
