I'm torn, I want to buy this right now, but I want to hear what this special announcement is, and if maybe it's another format.

According to Google Music this is just the first in a series of 6 classic Stones concerts to be coming out through them.

The 'special announcement' is regarding availability for non-US residents.

Downloading each song individually was a pain, if there was an easier way I couldn't figure it out

Is it the whole concert, or just the 8 songs they previewed? Which did not include Midnight Rambler. I couldn't tell.

Even already having Google Music it won't let me get Dancing With Mr D free, it demands credit card info. WTF?

Don't be a fool
Give it to them and then share it with us!

This should've been available since 1974!

I have the bootleg anyway.

I just downloaded the full concert. At first listen on my Android tablet I detect a rather different mix to the familiar concert, plus new Jagger banter. smiling smiley

Perhaps others with better ears for music and instruments can confirm after listening.

Am I missing something? Can you download the show? It seems to me after you pay $4.99 you can only listen to the show on your internet connected computer and/or phone. There's no way to actually download the songs onto an iPod or burn a CD. Unless, like I said, I'm missing something.

Yes you can. If you download the Google Music Manager (it's free) it lets you download the music in your online library to your computer in MP3 form. I downloaded it and burned a backup copy, put the album in my iTunes, etc. By the way, if there are any other Pearl Jam fans you can get the Toronto concert from September for FREE.

Thank you very much! I don't know if I ever would have figured that out.

The big huge smile on my face is almost as large as the first time I "discovered" Brussels Affairs all those many years ago....on vinyl, in a head shop with, er, smoking paraphenalia as the main business. I bet I have this shows on, what?, 15 different boot CDS by now. Well, who cares! Here's another must have!

Wow, and hey, to think, I never would've known about this had it not been for IORR.

And wow, to hear Mick (and yeah, Keith too) offer ANY reflections about this show, is incredible.

I am actually somehow encouraged that they even LISTEN to these old shows like the rest of us do on IORR. Or that they took the time to at least listen again ONCE to these old shows. Surely it's as apparent to them as it is to all of us how that band in '73 is light years different than anything in recent history. And by "different" I mean better. And though they don't come quite around to saying that, how can they not THINK that????

Anybody have any guesses what the other concerts in this bootleg series will be? If they continue the trend of finishing off shelved live albums maybe the "Unreleased Decca Live Album 1972"? I would like to see the El Mocambo show, it could use some nice cleaning up. So many possibilities!!!

5. Philadelphia 72

It's an entirely new mix. An official sounding album now.

Here's hoping they make it available for those of us without androids. I'll happily download from Amazon or iTunes or buy a real CD or CDR.

A reminder to all: once you purchase the album, you can play the tracks through Google Music. To the right of each track name, an arrow is visible, hover over that and there are several options available, one of them being "Save Song To My Computer"....and voila...the mp3's are downloaded to your computer and you can then burn the mp3's on a disc to play through your stereo.

Has anyone listened to the MR in full?

Did a quick listen of some of the samples.
Didn't sound like the "Brussels" I know.
Quickly compared HTW TD and RTJ (only the sample portions).
I think those are from the second show as suggested in the interview.
JJF seemed unfamiliar as well.

1st edit: quick listen to YCAGWYW. Listen to "hands" in the opening version. The separation of the "s" from "hand" is not on Brussels 1st show. While it sounds like 2000s Mick, I think it's from the 2d show.
And where is the wacky middle solo on JJF?

2d edit: TD RTJ & MrD are not the 1st Show unless that different mix Teddy refers to moved notes around as well but MR is certainly from the first show. Why the split?

It's odd how inconsistent the sound of the drums is. Buried cymbals in some, nice crash in others.

Still: amazing amazing amazing

It is abailable for those without androids...you buy it and can also either stream online or, as stated above, download it to your pc. No android needed. I assure you that I bought it and I do not have an android. At the most you may need a google id to login ( such as a gmail like I had).

Is it possible to burn onto a CD once you download it? I hate listening to music on my laptop speakers. No bass.
