Howdy!

Noobie here.

Lurked for years, felt like chiming in from time to time.

American, from Northeast parts, still nesting there. 40 something. Too young to remember the old days, old enough to care. Don't currently play an instrument, though noodle at geetar and keyboards on occassion. LOVE drums but busted my only kit before I even knew who Keith Moon was. Music tastes run the gamut.

Stones bits:

First LPs: "Out of Our Heads", "Rolling Stones Now!" Have 90% of their catalog now.

Their Top Three: "Beggars", "Exile", "Sticky".

Best of the Brians: "Beggars", "Aftermath", "Out".

Best of the Micks: "Exile", "Sticky", "Ya Yas".

Best of the Rons: "Some Girls", Voodoo Lounge", "Bridges".

Give Me the Boot: Wuzzit called? "London iBC Sessions"

Favorite Phase: Brian. Had the punk thing DOWN. Got it back with Ron. Mick T FANTASTIC guitarist though too clean for Stones. Knew him first through Mayall's "Blues from Laurel Canyon". Saw Taylor live once in Bridgeport, Connecticut with members of The Chambers Bros (!).

Concerts: '95 and '99.

Status: Fan since late '70s. First LP bought upon release, "Some Girls".

'ta for now.

Howdy, folks!

Mice, methinx Mick had better not wag his thang at me beak ... I'll throw 'im a Charlie!

Yep, I read "Life". Fun read. Hardened take on Stones history, as others here have thought. Particularly on Brian. He had it coming, though. His version does contradict some of Bill's notions. Perty much destroyed Spanish Tony's musings too.

Next up, I'm reserving Phelge's Stones memoir, "Nankering with The Stones", from the local library. Promises to be funnier than Keith, who wasn't nearly as funny as he is in interviews.

Speaking of great interviews, did Garcia ever publish a book? Love or hate The Dead, the man had a natural ease with people, and funny as all out. Even his recollections on Altamont are funny, for such an unpleasant evening. "It was like a fine day in Hell ..." !!! hot smiley

Howdy, Col! methinx it's in keeping with the vibe.

Thanks, Boston! I loved Sanchez's book 'til I found out the fibbing. So Phelge should have good perspective on those naughty little boys!

I wonder if he's ever reached out to them since then? Guess I gotta read all about it!

Yo Edith ... the best ep is the diet one, just after the baby comes along. Saw it on AntennaTV two weeks back.
