Sounds like a working version of what became How I Wish.

More news on that X-Pensive Winos reunion from UK's The Guardian newspaper.

Keith finally back to work? Nonsense. Keith likes playing guitar more than reading novels, smoking whatever, or drinking whiskey. The notion that Keith has been doing absolutely nothing in two or more years is total silliness. He is constantly playing his guitar, inventing riffs, and recording it for later use. I think he dreams about being on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans. He has to wait until Jagger gives the word to get ready for the next world tour.

I think he should worry and work hard because Ronnie seems to be in a good mood and shape to play rock'n'roll.

Keith says he will re-form the Winos "when the inspiration hits." Well, Keith old chap, it's been more than 17 years since you released an album with them so maybe you should forget all about this inspiration nonsense and get off your arse and actually record something before you're too old to play anymore...if you aren't already.

Keith wants the Stones to roll. He's waiting on Mick. The work he's doing with Steve Jordan could wind up being used for anything. The Winos album could be a threat, it might wind up a stop gap. It all depends on Jagger. Keith is in good shape though, better than in some time.

Thanks Teddy for keeping us informed. It is a good sign that Keith is making music in a studio, even and especially when there is no any direct, pragmatic reason (a certain project in his mind) to do that. It means Keith just does it for the sake of making music itself. Some might even talk about the muse here...

Thanks Teddy! You say "The work he's doing with Steve Jordan could wind up being used for anything", but imo this material isn't for a new Stones album.
I'm happy to know that "Keith is in good shape", but it all depends on his riff!

I do not understand why Mick's desire to make solo album in the 80's was a terrible betrayal, at the same time the fact that Richards now at this stage makes a solo album - this is absolutely great
First try as much as possible to discredit Jagger as a person and an artist, to throw dirt at him, and then to make his solo album after which the Stones are unlikely to continue, it is not betrayal?

Everything I read discredited Jagger as a person but put him on an angelic pedistal as an artist.

I "throw dirt at Sir. only when he makes crappy solo album as 'Goddes', when he bring Goddes style on Stones album (Streets of Love and others filler) or when he ruins good song as Following the river with an embarassing voice.
In any case, he's the greatest front man of all time

Indeed, quite. All the comments about LVS (Lead Vocalist Syndrome) reminds me of another guitarist who shows the same contention for the 'front man' who calls it LSD (Lead Singer Disease). His name is Eddie Van Halen, and we know how he treats his vocalist(s).

Guitar-swininging macho shit, they can't stand anyone taking the light from them... and don't mind publically whining about it. Face it, the fronman is the frontman for a reason, and is the Voice of the band.

Just read about the interview with Keith in the UK mag "The Word", and the interviewer asks why he was so brutal to Mick in 'Life'.

KR: Sometimes you have to be a little over the top to get a reaction.

From guitar God to spoied child.
(slow clap)
Well done Keef, gold rings on ya.

No tour dates yet?

It's a done deal.

This would have been his best farewell statement as a stones related musician.., a great song imo.

It's really more of a matter of waiting on 2012 rather than waiting on Mick.

Hi Teddy!
After recording 'one track or two' with Steve Jordan, there are any news about Keef project?

Re: Keith Finally Back At Work

Don't forget that Keith also recorded a single with Jack White producing a couple years ago and has several tracks (covers and originals) that Rob Fraboni produced for him 10 years ago. That's just the news that made it out to us. If Keith wants to do a solo album, I think he could pull together one using the tracks from those three producers alone quite easily.
