I can't see it being worse joking about a simple picture than calling Charlie, that went through a tough cancer period, a coward.Quote

Some of you guys are pathetic, it's a very nice picture. I bet you will all look quite more old, retired and out of time when you reach Bill's age there, unless you don't do that allready - as Bill's looking good - as well as his grand-daughter
duh, you know i knew you were trying to be funny, but it's a kind of "private photo" which doesn't seem funny to be humorous about, which makes it "not funny"

To my standards, calling a "cancer-sick Charlie" a coward is much worse.
Some people here on the board like to harass or joke about other people, but when it is contrary they are the first to complain.

Brian got fired, Taylor got tired and Bill got old.

Brian got sick, Taylor confused and Wyman bored (When Bill left we big money had not begun coming in yet, I think thats the only thing that bothers him).

Bollocks. They have been millionaires since '66, and the 89/90 tour grossed a gazillion dollars.
The reason Wyman left was that after the 89/90 tour he had 200 million pounds on his account.

There are videos of Bill Wyman explaining that he quit because he thought the band creatively was only going to repeat what they had already done musically and Bill wasn't interested...

So he went on to do music that even more-so repeated everything done already?

Personally I think he'd been passive-aggressive for years, not really participating in the band full tilt, and yet not leaving.

Brian got the ax,
Taylor fell thru the cracks,
Bill was just too lax
And those are all the facts!

I think the Brian situation could be even more complex than originally seen. Surely he got tired of being a sideman for the Jagger/Richards machine. Remember that Brian was always ahead of his time. Although I think much of Satanic Majesties is a mess, there are brilliant moments from Brian that could be pointing to a future unseen. People have always shook there head, unable to comprehend why Brian did not revive and get re-engaged since they were supposedly recording his kind of music on Beggar's Banquet. Brian might have truly been interested in new kinds of music that would not become popular for years.
He was simply not strong enough to take control of his own life and leave the band and create what he wanted. Personally I think he'd been passive-aggressive for years, not really participating in the band full tilt, and yet not leaving.
