It may not be The Faces for real if Rod ain't there, but the band that played in Randers last year.... I'd take that band any day over the real Faces. I haven't seen a single thing on YouTube, or elsewhere, by the real Faces that could hold a candle to the band that played at that gig. It was that good.
Before people bash Mick Hucknall, I'd just like to point out that I never liked what he did with Simply Red either. That music is boring to say the least. BUT: Mick Hucknall in this Faces-ish band is a sure winner. He fit perfectly and his voice was really great and raw. You'd be @#$%& surprised how good he can be. I was. I don't understand why he doesn't do more of this stuff.

The NEW Faces line-up as far as I can remember is:
Ronnie Wood.
Jesse Wood.
Ian McLagan.
Mick Hucknall.
Glen Matlock.
Kenny Jones.

As I wrote, I haven't heard them. I think Mick Hucknall is a technically good singer, but I could very well imagine that people call Faces performances with him "Cabaret shit".

I liked the Faces, and if I don't like him as a singer in it, then I call that not suited. But people may have different impressions of what the Faces were; that's their decission. Indeed just my opinion.

Just to get back to topic. Has there been any more news on a Faces tour? I mean Stones won't be touring till next year so it definitely leaves Ronnie some time to go out on the road for this year, but has anyone heard any more details? just wondering

Obtuse is the word. It's already been said umpteen times on this forum that Mick Hucknall in the Faces is *nothing* like Mick Hucknall in Simply Red. See the Faces in their new guise and then judge. Otherwise, don't bother.
