She's certainly a higher caliber artist than most of the ones we've seen so far. I can't see her being wasted belting out Tumbling Dice. Actually she's a lot hotter than the Stones are right now.

i told my daughter they'd probably have Adele as a guest when they got back to London..

Adele would actually be pretty decent.

She is mega-popular same as Taylor Swift so I see these guests as appearing on a live duets album. Not an original thought, but this is what I see. The Stones way of introducing themseleves to a new generation like Frank Sinatra tried to do in his duets album, ol Frank rejected the idea and had to be dragged into it.

Sinatra was 76 at the time and Mick is 70 in August so close enough

All this talk of Duets is depressing. That's what artists do as they're fading into the sunset, ala Tony Bennett, or the aging Sinatra. It signals the end of new creativity. What's next, medleys? I remember reading when Stevie Wonder was with them that he was doing medleys of his songs and they thought his career was over. It's kind of getting there. The whole opening Cloud/IORR/PIB and whatever is delivered in a real lazy way. I'm surprised Mick's not standing at the microphone, "We're going to do a song for you that goes way back, back in the days of flower power and don't trust anyone over 30. Do you remember? Sing along, won't you? And make sure and donate to your PBS station. I see a red door, everybody, come on and sing. Sing until Brian is raised from the dead and pukes all over this stage. You can cut that in editing, right?"

Actually maybe Alicia Keys and Beyonce or could be the same caliber as a singer in America as Adele is in Britain, I think Adele is even better.

Best new British artist for a very long time.

I think that if I were a singer I would welcome the chance to attempt duets
with other artists, particularly the ones that either complimented or challenged
me in some way. Anyone ever see David Bowie do White Christmas with Bing Crosby?
Whether you thought it sucked or not, it certainly was....interesting!

Adele is one artist whose powerhouse lungs might threaten to overwhelm Mick's aging
ones, but is that not the sort of challenge that keeps an old rocker young?

I would love to see them bring it on!
