Yes, Adele would suit them very well.

There's one thing to consider about the supposed album of live duets, which is that with a few exceptions the duets just haven't been very good. Never mind them not being worthy of the Stones, they aren't worthy of the guests either. If I were Gwen Stefani I wouldn't want that performance issued on CD.

Good god the performances being good is a requirement? That changes everything. Has anyone talked to the makers of Love You Live or Flashpoint?

I'd laugh if they trotted out Celine Dion for the next Toronto show. Isn't CD Canadian?

they sang in the studio but it was all wiped away and redone later, thats the difference between the stones and all those hippie bands from back then-being the pros they were..and are.

and by the way, adele has the best pure singing voice in popular music since freddie mercury. if the stones snag her for a guest spot they're the lucky ones.

mick will pick the perfect song for her of course,he's batting 1000 on this tour with that sort of thing so far.

Adele would be great!
Why don't they never have Pete Townshend or Roger Daltrey as a guest?

Cheers,

Funny, was talking about the duets with Stones friends while queuing up for the Stone Roses tonight and I suggested Adele! That would certainly be a good fit, terrific voice and some really good songs!

Oh dear lord don't even think it...yes she's Canadian, and I'm actually going to that show. Mind you if she duetted on Some Girls...man, I'd pay to see that.

The Rolling Stones wish to Lady Gaga, Adele, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch for concerts in Hyde Park

The Rolling Stones are celebrating 50 years of career, and what better way to make a concert where guests have as Lady Gaga, Adele, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch.

When the Rolling Stones invite you to do something, no matter who you are or what concerned the invitation, simply accept! , That's why the boys have been inviting musicians to join their concerts, the last "lucky" was Taylor Swift.

Well, it has emerged that Mick Jagger has invited Lady Gaga, Adele, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch to accompany them during their performances in Hyde Park.

On July 6 of this year and during that week, The Rolling Stones will be performing in Hyde Park where we could witness the return of Adele who has been hiding lately since it seems that Mick convinced her to go on stage with them.

Likewise, Lady Gaga who is recovering from hip surgery may be making a comeback with the Stones. Finally, in addition to Paloma Faith, Florence Welch, vocalist of Florence + The Machine could be also a guest.

Forget about Adele, Paloma Faith, Florence, and Lady G. They are probably all good in their own right.

Imelda May is the way to go. That woman has the rock 'n' roll spirit.

...VERY true! Good call!!

So on MY wishlist (for July 6), there's Adele & Imelda for sure.

PLEASE not that 'Florence' again; I found her right-bl**dy AWFULL at the O² last year Nov.

P.S.: can we please scale it down a bit on the irony side of that duet-CD??!
If Jagger really IS following our threads, he might just take it serious.
And we CAN'T have thàt, can we...!!?

I thought we all agreed that Florence was - by far - the best guest on this tour.
I'm not a fan of hers, but she was brilliant on GS.

...'all agreeing' is a bit of a stretch, here; (f.i.: I didn't get to vote... winking smiley )
but I noticed & realize that it's the general concensus here.
Which, with all due respect, doesn't mean anything to me -
from where I was sitting (nosebleeds), the experience of her guest spot was GRUESOME - my ears started bleeding as well...

To each his/her own; but I had plenty of music in my life to stand by my opinion.

And btw: why bother speculating... I think it's obvious we'll be getting Gary Clark jr. on July the 6th.
And judging by the PPV I saw after the London gigs, plus his debut album I recently obtained: that would be well deserved for him, and someting to look forward to by me/ us!

I don't get why they feel the need to pad it out with guests.
Stones live minutes are getting more and more precious.
No covers, no guests. Just Stones.
What about wheeling out Ian McLagan on keys.

I just want Stones at a Stones show.

Agreed on that. Gary Clark Jr. would be nice, if they really need to have a guest.
Really enjoyed his album and his guest spot on the Stones gig.

I was sitting on an expensive seat in the O2. I had to like it all to justify the massive ticket price to the missus.
